A young F.B.I. cadet must receive the help of an incarcerated and manipulative cannibal killer to help catch another serial killer, a madman who skins his victims.
Then Secretary of Labor, Elizabeth Dole's, Washington, D.C. office doubled for that of the F.B.I. Director's office in this movie.
Starling! Starling! Crawford wants to see you in his office.
Clarice Starling: Thank you, sir.
In the novel "Hannibal", it is said that Clarice is 32, if that holds true for the movie that means that Clarice would have been 22 in "Silence of the Lambs", as this movie takes place 10 years before the "Hannibal" movie. Clarice would have been a year too young to apply for the FBI, as you must be 23 to apply.
After the Copyright notice and MPAA logo, a logo appears with the text "A Luta Continua". This is not a production company credit; instead, it's Portuguese for "The Struggle Continues" ("To be continued").
