Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic, investigate the strange and unexplained, while hidden forces work to impede their efforts.
When Mulder awakes in the cemetery towards the end of Season 10, Episode 3, The X-Files: Mulder & Scully Meet the Were-Monster (2016), he is lying on the grave of someone named "Kim Manners". It's a tribute to Kim Manners, one of the directors of the show, who died of lung cancer in 2009.
I have a theory. Do you want to hear it?
Scully: Van Blundht somehow physically transformed into his captor and walked out the door, leaving no one the wiser?
Mulder: Scully, should we be picking out china patterns or what?
Throughout the series when we see a closeup of CGB Spender's/The Smoker's ashtray while he is extinguishing his cigarette, the filters of the "smoked" cigarettes already in the ashtrays are perfectly white, while they should be yellow/brown from the nicotine-smoke. This indicates that they are props, placed there before shooting and not cigarettes smoked by the characters.
The opening credits of the first 7 seasons include an extreme close-up of an eye blinking. In the 8th season credits, the eye belongs to 'Gillian Anderson (I)'.
