  • Another low budget film from monarch studios the songs were double meaning and so were the dialogues the song where ayesha jhulka tries to seduce Mithun by making out with him under a dupatta became the new trend for aunties those days they all wanted to replicate that pose.
  • Dalaal review :

Worst of Prakash Mehra Worst of Mithun Chakraborty Worst of Ayesha Jhulka.

    Cheap and third grade movie.

A C grade movie from Prakash Mehra banner was least expected but Dalaal was exactly that. Mithunda, as Ayesha Jhulka's pimp who is unaware of her real profession, was simply unconvincing and distasteful. The film was titillating, vulgar and obscene in every aspect. The dialogues like "Chamdi bech ke damdi kamate hai" were pure cringe. Songs like 'Chadh gaya upar re' reeked of double entendre. As if that wasn't enough, they added Ayesha's nude shots using a body double. Following her then beau Armaan Kohli's advice, Jhulka took Mehra to court over it. Incidentally, Mehra won the case and it dented Jhulka's image irreversibly as producers mistook her stand as arrogance. Inspite being her biggest fan, Dalaal is the only Ayesha movie which I just can't stand!!

Partho Ghosh's 'Dalaal' is one of the finest entertainers from the mid 90's. It was a Mega Blockbuster at the box office, when it released in 1993.

Performances: Mithun Chakraborty is my all-time favorite actor, he gives a stunning performance once again. Raj Babbar delivers a hilarious performance. Tinu Anand also excels in here, Shakti Kapoor causes hatred, yet performs superbly.

Songs: The Songs are awesome in the movie, though mostly all of them with double meaning.

    'Dalaal' is an amazing watch...

Don't miss 'Dalaal', catch it as soon as possible.

    'Dalaal' a 1993 classic hit.
  • I would firstly say this movie is for the masses and not the class audience. It entertains. It has enough comedy, drama , tragedy to keep you entertained and gripped. Multiple villains who also do comedy, a hero who is a villager and dumb, becomes a pimp in the disguise of a bodyguard. A helpless actress like what used to be in 90s...falling into the trap of skin business but is still a Virgin ( surely to maintain the 90s dignity). But overall it's an engaging movie....nice songs definitely help. A decent watch.
