Based on a stage play first performed at the Belvoir St Theatre in Sydney on 1 March 1991, featuring Hec McMillan as the Judge, Kerry Walker as the Clerk, Andrew Denton/Craig Ashley as Malcolm Turnbull, Paul Blackwell as Treasury Officials/Peter Harvey/Nobby Clark/Peter Horseperson/Johnny Iwojima, Sue Ingleton as Geoffrey Robertson/Sir William Gunn/Travel Agent/Paul Keating, and Geoff Kelso as Hinch/Alan Bond/Bob Hawke/James Baillieu/Hungerford/Bill Kelty. Directed and designed by Bruce Petty, lighting by Mark Howett, stage managed by Sue McIntyre.
The play is now notable for featuring a future Prime Minister (Malcolm Turnbull) questioning a former Prime Minister (Bob Hawke) and a current Prime Minister (Paul Keating).
