In German-occupied Poland during World War II, Oskar Schindler gradually becomes concerned for his Jewish workforce after witnessing their persecution by the Nazi Germans.
Amon Göth (Ralph Fiennes) quotes William Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice" to Helen Hirsch, saying, "Hath not a Jew eyes?" Fiennes' brother, Joseph Fiennes, appears in the film The Merchant of Venice (2004).
In the 1940s, almost all European women did not shave any of their armpits, legs, or pubic areas, especially work or death camp women who were not allowed even the basics. All but one of the women in the film are trimmed and groomed.
