Courteney Cox added Arquette to the end of her name after her marriage to David Arquette between seasons five and six. Her father, Richard L. Cox, died in 2001 and in the midst of the seventh season, she dropped 'Arquette' in her father's memory.

In 05x14 Joey uses the "finger quotes" to tell Rachel Monica and Chandler in the next room "making love", however in 09x02 Joey tells Ross he doesn't know what the "finger quotes" mean.
After Courtney Cox married David Arquette, they added 'Arquette' to the end of the entire cast and crew's names in the credits to honor the marriage.
