When Poirot searches Pilar's room, Pilar is seen in bed with a sling on her right arm. In the Denouement, the sling is now on her left arm.
When Sugden is at the room where Pilar is being interrogated, he says: "I better find Sgt Coombes" and leaves the room immediately. Later, when Poirot explains the solution, this scene is shown again, but Sugden, after saying that, doesn't leave the room immediately and waits a few seconds.
Horbury the valet suddenly appears in Stella's quarters (final 15 minutes) with the rest of the group, even though he wasn't present in the prior scene.
About halfway through Poirot asked if anyone else besides the old man knew the combination to the safe. But when the old man closed the safe he used a key.
When Poirot first explains the murder he says the deflated balloon was pulled out the window with the cord. During the final reveal the cord pulls the plug from the balloon which the flies freely away with no cord attached to it. In addition the cord was attached to the wooden plug so it would have been removed from the room and could not have been found by Pilar after the murder.
Although this episode takes place in December 1936, Harry Lee is reading the January 13, 1937 issue of "The Tatler" while Magdalene Lee is reading the September 24, 1938 issue of "Country Life".
