The Four Corners of Nowhere (1995) was writer/director
Stephen Chbosky's first film which he made right out of college. He shot that movie in a small field in Pittsburgh. In
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), there is a scene in the same field. Chbosky planned the shot for the eventual Perks movie during the filming of
The Four Corners of Nowhere (1995) seventeen years earlier.
