Power Rangers For Kids
Drew, Jo, and Roland are three kids living in the town of Charterville. Hanging out at Zoom Comics, which Roland's parents operate, they are fans of the Beetleborgs, three comic book superheroes. When rich kids Van and Trip (who are basically the Bulk and Skull of the show) dare them to see who can stay in the haunted Hillhurst Mansion the longest, the kids free Flabber. a phasm trapped in an organ, and given a wish, they become Beetleborgs. However, this results in the comics' main villains, the Magnavores, into the real world. Later, the Magnavores summon Nukus in a last ditch attempt to defeat the Beetleborgs, only for their new ally to get rid of them to become the new main villain, which results in the Beetleborgs upgrading to Metallix to face this powerful new foe.
Another show made by Saban to capitalize on the success of their Power Rangers franchise, this is an adaptation of the Japanese Metal Heroes show, Juukou B-Fighter (with its second season, Beetleborgs Metallix, adapted from B-Fighter Kabuto, this was aimed more at younger kids, as the series took more of a focus on sitcom elements. While it still had the action violence, as B-Fighter had a lot of content that would be considered not okay for a kids' show at the time, the fight scenes would utilize comic book action bubble in the vein of the 1966 Batman series to censor some violence. Also, the stories are more comedic, as some episodes focus on the exploits of the Hillhurst Monsters (who also serve as comedy relief and are parodies of the Universal Monsters, especially with names like Frankenbeans and Fangula),
