  • This is one of my all-time favorite films. Julie Harris and Tchéky Karyo really do a great job. Their interaction is fascinating and wonderful. I've enjoyed Mr. Karyo in many films, but this was my first Julie Harris film. Ms. Harris is wonderful to watch - what a terrific actor! There are a several very wonderful scenes. Even though I don't often go for "chick flick" type movies, this one really warmed my heart. The story was very interesting, and I really enjoyed the ending. I highly recommend this film to everyone. The beautiful scenes alone are worth watching. Aloha, Devin
  • This is one of my all time favorite movies. I really enjoy the relationship between Ms. Harris and Mr. Karyo in this movie, and really think Julie Harris did a terrific performance. The movie is corny, so if you you don't enjoy emotional, sweet movies, this one is not for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend the movie - Julie Harris' performance alone is worth it...
  • I am a fan of Ms. Harris and Mr. Karyo, in their varied careers. This film was screened in a local art house. I had never heard of it, so I decided I had to see it. I now know why I had never heard of it. Bad writing, bad editing, bad cinematography. It reminded me of the tawdry films in the later careers of Bette Davis and Judy Garland. (Actually, black and white film made those films intrinsically more intriguing and moody.) The big issues of aging and loss and new relationships were lost in the garble. Given the potential of what could have been done with the cast and the setting of Tuscany, I was extremely frustrated by the film. I could not even recommend that someone rent it, if it were available on video.
