  • This movie begins as the story of a young woman in need of a bone marrow donor. It gradually evolves into the story of a woman (excellently played by Patty Duke) who needs to come clean about her past. The script is well written, so the audience really won't see the twist coming. The acting is on a very high level, with David Ogden Stiers as Duke's husband, James Brolin as an important person in Duke's past and Tracy Gold as the sick daughter.

Almost everything Patty Duke does is marvelous, but I consider this one of her better TV movie roles and one to catch the next time it appears on Lifetime. Definitely a cut above the normal fare one sees as a TV movie.
