The boys seen outside Egyptian temple are different to those seen inside. The outside scene was shot in Mauretanina, while the interiors were shot in the UK. Local boys were cast in each location.

The four symbols for earth, wind, water and air, as seen on the temple wall in the beginning, are different from each other, albeit similar. When recreated, supposedly, on the buckle of the belt of the priest at 12'49" the symbols are in a different order and two are identical.
