It is a real shame that this very curious and offbeat gem has not been commented yet. And, I would almost say - probably not seen at all when I was released, back in 1999. I only discovered it on a TV channel. Another and unfortunately one of the last Jean Yanne's performances, this too much underrated actor. He is here at his best as an old lonely and so desperate man, who hates people in general, especially women, a character for whom the audiences do not feel any empathy at all. But...
That's here where the story begins to be really awesome and the Yanne's performance absolutely terrific.
So shame that so few folks on earth have seen such a gem.
