  • The main part of the problem so many critics seem to have seems to be their own fault of a frankly rather childish lack of the suspension of disbelief too often masquerading as sophistication. For me, the only reason I watched the show was for Olivier Gruner. What really frustrated me was the seeming cliffhanger that ended the series. Does anyone have an idea of what actually happened; I couldn't figure it out. Did Banning or Ethaniel win ultimately or what?

This could have been a pretty good series. Too bad the lack of plot, the terrible acting, and the fact that no one knew what the heck was going on sent it to television oblivion. Kavelaars sounds as if she is reading an obituary aloud. Bancroft is just downright annoying in his role as Ethaniel.

I watched this for a few episodes and decided it wasn't so bad. As time went on, I decided I had been wrong. The story lines went from tolerable to preposterous.

If tooled properly this might have been a great movie. As far as being a series, well, that just was not a good idea.
  • I have always like Sci-Fi and action together. I don't get all the others reviewers at all. It seems to me that they have another agenda, some worked on the show or whatever.

I have always liked a mix of both sci Fi and action and prefer this balance to the old sci fi formula.

This show to me was entertaining, funny, clever and walked that fine balance very well. I agree that the acting was not as good as the story lines or the execution. But I prefer this show to UPN's attempt to bring back any semblance of Star Trek.

We have Invasion now, which bores me to tears. If I see any more actors STARE into the camera after spending an episode finding out that one of the characters is a possible alien I'll scream.

I think Code Name tried to entertain and deliver Sci Fi and I enjoyed it.
  • I couldn't agree more with the writer of the "Oh brother" comments than if I had written it myself. Not only is this a good concept badly executed but for some reason they cast actors who could be outshone in a 3rd grade play. Laura seems to have one voice pitch: monotone; and it's exacerbated by the fact that she seems to be reading cue cards rather than playing a role and exerting any feeling for her character. Ethaniel is not much better, but he does manage some pitch and intonation from time to time.

What a waste... yet they cancel something amazing like Firefly. Go figure.
  • Does any one out there have a complete episode listing for this show?

Here in the UK, Channel 4 have started to show this rather late at night and I've probably missed a few. The first one I've seen is 'The last drop'. Even though the acting is a bit wooden/stilted and a little hammy at times and some of the scenes are laughable: Helicopter pilot gets shot in shoulder, chopper wobbles around a bit, pilot doesn't seem fazed at all that a bullet has gone through his torso, and then lands the helo in exactly same spot from take off. Still, its watchable. thanks.

Suspense, thriller, you name it. I love mystery and the unknown; this series proves just that. The main actors are really good, especially the Mr Dent character. The tension between Ethaniel & Laura, that should we or shouldn't we makes watching Code Name: Eternity all the more interesting. All good things come to an end, but I would hate to see that happen - it's a good treat at the end of a long week! It's a great pity there are no screensavers or photos!
  • This series is great!!!!Cameron and Ingrid are great together with a special connection since the first episode!!!It's all about an alien and an human that help each other and try to save the world of Banning, an alien who wants to destroy our kind!!!With amazing tecnology they make a great serie...the new and improve X-File!!!
  • i gotta say that ingrid kavelaars acted just like a piece of wood,no facial expression of any kind at all!but then, enjoying her beautiful face is pretty good though. and the show is great in general,i kinda think it's too short and look forward to another season.
