Captain’s log, stardate 41153.7 … well, Tuesday, anyway: William Shatner has apparently ended his beef with his fellow “Star Trek” captain Jason Isaacs. Shatner, who famously portrayed Captain James T. Kirk on the original “Star Trek” series, has made nice with Jason Isaacs, who plays Captain Gabriel Lorca on the series “Star Trek: Discovery.” Or at least he’s decided to unblock Isaacs on Twitter. Isaacs announced that he had been blocked by Shatner on Sunday in a question-filled tweet. Need to catch up? Check out the previous The Handmaid’s Tale recap here.
In The Handmaid’s Tale‘s third installment, we get the Republic of Gilead’s origin story. And forgive me if you think I’m overreacting, but the fictional downfall of American society looks a heck of lot like the real now.
The erosion of rights. A complacent citizenry. Leadership that encourages a culture that makes those with hate in their hearts feel emboldened — heck, entitled — to voice whatever atrocious thought crosses their small minds. All of these factors contributed to a world in which women...

Let’s nominate Andre Lyon to compete on an upcoming episode of Chopped.
Mind you, I have absolutely no idea if Empire‘s eldest son has any culinary skills whatsoever, but what he does (or had done) to a precocious little girl’s lustrous locks on this week’s episode tells me the man knows what to do when armed with a pair of kitchen shears.

Nope, Quantico, I’m not going there with you.
This week’s episode doubles as the fall finale, and there’s a rather large revelation in its final moments: During a fist fight with an anonymous member of the Citizens’ Liberation Front, Alex pulls off her aggressor’s mask only to find that she’s been beating up her onetime fiancé, Ryan.

CSI: Cyber continues to flesh out its ensemble, adding Emmy winner Peter MacNicol as a series regular.
The Ally McBeal/Numb3rs vet will play Assistant Director Stavros Sifter, 40, a career FBI insider and supervisor of Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) for the Cyber Crime Division in Washington, D.C.

Sifter quickly rose up the ranks and positioned himself in a job where he is the clearinghouse between FBI Cyber and all other branches of government. He is a shrewd and savvy networker — a charmer with a hint of malice.

The Big Brother house should have a sign on its front door that reads “No Girls Allowed.”
Of the season’s first four evictions, three of the booted contestants have been ladies (and the only guy to be sent packing has been Devin, Dastardly Tyrant of the Land). And Thursday’s live eviction episode was no different; two women sat side by side once again, one of them much more at risk for leaving than the other.
