  • Probably the best and most faithful adaptation of a Hammond Innes novel. I first saw this TV mini-series many years ago on British TV but to my knowledge it has never been repeated. It is one of Peter Yeldham's many excellent TV adaptations which also include another Innes novel - Levkas Man. It's a pity that, to my knowledge, this first class series has never been made commercially available on either video or DVD.

Is it still being shown anywhere in the world - possibly Australia where most of the action is set - has anyone seen it more recently? It's a pity a lot more of Peter Yeldham's work is not commercially available.

Question: Does anybody know if "Golden Soak" is available on video or DVD ? I am looking for this item for my grandfather who really liked it very much, at the time it was shown on television in The Netherlands (1979).
