  • I know who Moran and Mack were and this is the first film of theirs I've seen. Considering how offensive their act was, I doubt if many folks out there are dying to see this one....though some might just have a stroke when they see them. That's because the pair were white guys in black-face...a lot like Amos and Andy in "Check and Double Check". Thankfully, those minstrel days are long past.

The pair are hanging out at the race track. There, they meet another actor in black-face, a pretty lady. The duo make a fortune at the track. Instead of taking the money and running, they want to keep betting and make a HUGE fortune. What do they do with their money? They buy a race horse from a couple crooks. Can they possibly ever earn back any of their money?! Sure....if they don't mind cheating!

What can I say about this apart from they guys are in black-face?! Isn't this enough?! The story, IF you can look past Moran and Mack is fair....but not enough reason to watch this to be entertained. However, HISTORICALLY speaking, it is an interesting look back into our past.
