  • As this show goes it's smart, funny and very sensitive to the audience. As I watch more and more I'm routing for the bad guys and actually like most of them. I know that is a little morbid but it's only a t.v. show. The acting is in place and Eric Roberts and Titus are standouts. It seems so real and very smart. This show deserves to be picked up for the new season. Give this show a shot if it stays on. I know I'll be looking for it. If you loved Goodfellas, Donnie Brasco, and just love mobster t.v. or movies this show is for you. Give it a chance. You will not be disappointed! Falcone the T.V. show gets 4 stars out of 4.
  • I don't watch much tv. But, I could not stay away from Falcone. Titus Welliver was excellent as Sonny. His facial expressions were a big part of great acting. His character was well written, he had a heart of gold, but, yet was ruthless. I thought all of the characters and the actors portraying them were a winning combination. If CBS knows what it's doing, which I wonder sometimes, they will keep this show on, but with the original cast. I personally don't see anyone else playing those particular characters. When it comes out on video, I'm buying it.
  • I have yet to be in agreement with the CRITICS who make or break a show. I, and everyone I spoke to that watched Falcone thought it was an extremely well cast and played series. All of us were excitingly hoping it would become a weekly series. I think this series, especially while not being shown on PAY TV, where the x-rated language would have had a more definite impact on todays audience, still gave us a dramatic look into the world of "WISEGUYS" and GOODGUYS. As for Joe Falcone, played by Jason Gedrick, I know guys who look like high schoolers who are in his field. Titus Welliver was excellent and Lillo Broncato was superb, as was Sunny Marinelli. When isn't Eric Roberts right on. The remaining cast were all to be congratulated. I know Falcone has been compared to the highly acclaimed Sopranos, which I never miss and am addicted to, but take away the language and who knows where that show might be.
  • "Falcone" definitely is the best new show of the season! We get to see different sides of the main characters which make them more believable and realistic. Jason Gedrick is surprisingly wonderful as Falcone/Pistone. He's handsome without being "perfect". Titus W. is deliciously evil while still flashing a soft side once in a while. It's a shame Lucky is gone but maybe he will continue to haunt Sonny. Hopefully, CBS will be smart and bring this show back in the fall. I like the clothes. I like "the" car/SUV. I want to know if Falcone/Pistone ever brings down the Volante family while keeping his marriage together. I'm giddy with excitement to see if this fantastic show returns!
  • Rreally liked this show,no, it's not the Sapranos,it's not the Godfather,it happens to be a "semi-fictional account" of life inside the mob as told by an FBI agent who actually lived his life with these people,.of course he could not put everything in with the time cbs gave him, but I think Mr. Pistone did a fantastic job considering I've only heard the other side of the story, but have seen nothing like this! The truth may not be stronger than fiction, but with the time limit he had to deal with, I think Pistone did a great job, the actors were too pretty,"but that only helped" I suggest you read the book, if you've seen the series, before you review this show, you may just want to take a second look!!!!
  • I'm still hoping CBS (or another network) will bring Falcone back.

I've rarely seen such excellence as the understated performance Titus Welliver turns in as Sonny Napoli. What an expressive face! And great body language. He could carry the show by himself, but obviously the play off Jason Gedrick's Joe Pistone is key to the suspense.

Stay tuned. Maybe Falcone will return.
  • I've seen Falcone. I thought that the actors did a very good job presenting the characters. I looked forward to the next evening and what would be on it next. I hope they make it a series, since we truly do not know if Joe continued on the case. The actors made me feel as if I was part of the scene. I intend to purchase Falcone when and if it comes on video. It was a typical mob story but with a twist. One of the best mob stories as far as written, produced, directed, etc that I have seen.
  • Excellent storyline that must be continued as it's keeping all of us in suspense. Titus Welliver, Sonny Marinelli and Jason Gedrick play complex characters and they do it very well. In only a few shows, they've drawn us into their lives and made us care and feel compelled to watch. Never have we made a point of watching repeats before this second airing of the FALCONE series. If it was opposite Who Wants to be a Millionaire (and we love that show) - FALCONE would win! We hope that CBS won't let the audience down and will incorporate FALCONE as part of it's regular programming.
  • I love this series. It's like The Sopranos but given more of a street feeling, rather than a urban. They couldn't have picked a better person than Jason Gedrick to play Joe Falcone. All the actors do such a good job of pulling you into the plot. I can't wait until each night when they show the next episode. The plot is very convincing and after each episode they leave you on the edge of your seat wanting to see what will happen next. Altogether, this series is a smart look into what a mafia captain, Sonny Boy, will do to get on top, and what a FBI agent, Joe Pistone, will do to protect his family while still risking his life to do his job.
  • A great show about FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone, based on the Donnie Brasco story but much better than the movie. All I can say about this show is that it was one of the most underrated series ever. CBS would be crazy to dump it! The storylines were captivating, the acting was intense and fabulous, and the characters had a depth of complexity that you rarely come across on network television. If they ever re-air this show I highly recommend it to everyone!
  • I only wish to say is: I enjoyed this movie very much. After a long day, I looked forward to it each evening. I love the drama, suspense, theme, ect. . . Plain and simple. . . Put the movie back on ! ! every night of the week. Without it, there is no sense in watching television at night.
  • I have seen the Sopranos and other mob-esque shows, but this show is first-class. The show is based on facts and uses emotionally charged characters, interesting plot, fluid dialog, and outstanding cinematography. I hope that it will be turned into a series. For those of you that didn't see it, you missed out.
  • Trying to hard and mis-casted come to mind here. There isn't a wise guy in the bunch. No one in the cast is truly comfortable in the skin of a wise guy. They all come off like wanna-be types or like how you'd expect a cop might act trying to infiltrate the mob. The dialogue is snippets from "Good Fellas" and "The Sopranos".
  • Never could get interested in ER, by way of example, but thoroughly enjoyed "Falcone". These people of necessity were inscrutable at times--cover your feelings or be found out, or lose your power over your gang. Very complex situations. Have to remember some "easterners" have different cultural "faces" than "mid-westerners". The acting had to be very much controlled and the eyes had to do a lot of the talking.

Too bad families might really have to go through such a life-style to catch criminals.
  • I think "Falcone"is one of the best mafia shows I have ever seen. I liked it a lot better than "The Sopranos". Falcone's story line about an undercover agent becoming part of the mob is lot more interesting to me than what "The Sopranos" offers. I found the most dangerous guys in the mob to be a lot more threatening in "Falcone" than the ones in "The Sopranos". I thought the casting for "Falcone" was excellent. Titus Welliver as Sonny Boy became more powerful as the series unfolded. His acting was brilliant. Eric Roberts is always welcome and was good in "Falcone". "Falcone" consists of 9 hours that was shown on CBS. I am only sorry that the series wasn't continued. Jason Gedrick as the undercover agent was very good and so was Amy Carlson, the woman who played his beautiful wife. I would rate "Falcone" right up there with "Wiseguy" (the one with the late Ray Sharkey) and also I think "Falcone" was as good as the movie "GoodFellas".
  • Falcone is funny, ( these guys kidnap an $18,500 dog and get stuck with it ), and interesting. But as much as I enjoy watching it, it just just doesn't measure up the late 80's early 90's tv series Wiseguy. Is it coincidence that that bad guy Falcone works for is named Sonny?

The main problem here is that the writer's miss every chance for sustaining suspense. The show builds to tense moments then lets them go so quickly we feel cheated. And yet opportunities for suspense abound. Falcone's wife's Maggie--perhaps the best actor in this series--adds a lot of potential for threat. But the writer's seem to back off. Ever hear of drama guys? (When you get the good guy in a bad situation you figure out how to make it worse.) The FBI staff behind Falcone is a joke. In Wiseguy the staff's ruthlessness caused problems. In this show the only FBI guy who causes problems is a complete idiot. The rest of them act as if they are on Eight is Enough. Falcone is worth watching. But if you really want to see how a mob infiltration show should be done, watch reruns of Wiseguy.
