Benjamin Barry is an advertising executive and ladies' man who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Andie Anderson covers the "How To" beat for "Composure" magazine and is assigned to write an article on "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days." They meet in a bar shortly after the bet is made.
Much of the scene where Andie crashes Ben's "boy's night" was improvised. Kate Hudson had the idea to toss the platter of veggies at the guys seated at the poker table. Donald Petrie, the director, knew she was going to do this but the actors in the scene were truly ... ...
"And only then will the people of Tajikistan know true and lasting peace." Andie, it's brilliant. It's really moving. But it's never going to appear in Composure Magazine.
Andie's hands alternate between holding food, holding a fork and being folded during the lobster dinner scene at the beginning.
