In the recent episode of Deadliest Catch, deckhand Chino suffered a severe injury while working on the F/V Titan Explorer, captained by Jake Anderson.
The incident revealed the hazardous conditions that crab fishermen face on the Bering Sea, highlighting the constant risk involved in their work.
During a routine operation, Chino was struck in the head by a heavy crab pot while sorting through the catch on deck.
The impact left him writhing in pain, and he urgently cried out, “I can’t feel my legs.”
With visible lacerations on his head, Chino’s condition quickly became a serious concern for Captain Anderson and the crew.
Anderson acted swiftly, placing a neck brace on the injured deckhand and enlisting the help of three other crew members to stabilize him on board before contacting the Coast Guard.

Malcolm Mowbray, the British director of “A Private Function,” died June 23, producer Deniz Erel confirmed to Variety. He was 74.
Mowbray was known for directing “The Revengers’ Comedies,” “Meeting Spencer,” “Out Cold” as well as the 1984 feature “A Private Function.”
Maggie Smith, Michael Palin, Richard Griffiths, Denholm Elliott, John Normington and Tony Haygarth starred in “A Private Function,” which Mowbray co-wrote. The dark comedy followed the citizens of a small English town in 1947 who were awaiting the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. The citizens had to ration their food, but the royal celebration was the one exception. They gathered to prepare and raise a pig for the celebratory meal — but a couple, Smith’s Joyce and Palin’s Gilbert, decide to steal the pig in an act of rebellion. The film garnered six BAFTA wins, including original screenplay and best film.

Attack Of The Lederhosen Zombies. Do I have your attention? Of course I do! Lederhosen zombies! Yes, from the Alps of Tyrol, Austria comes a horror comedy that dashes Out Cold snowboarding humor into a Romero zombie stew. Humor meets ski-village infestation, and gore meets a white, snowy backdrop in need of some red coloring. Does sophomore filmmaker Dominik Hartl create a legendary zombie epic in the process? Not quite, but that doesn’t mean ski-bums and Z-nation worshipers alike won’t have a wintry hellscape worth a few chuckles and winces. Go ahead and punch your lift ticket – the ride’s a bumpy one, but still worth the price of admission.
It all starts with a hopeful vacation destination, an investor and a glowing green serum that – when blown through fans – produces perfect man-made snow. Assumed owner Franz (Karl Fischer) is trying to unload his Alps resort, but ends...

There’s been a lot talk recently regarding the feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel while shooting Fast 8. Johnson had some harsh words for his co-star calling him a "chicken shit" and a ”candy ass.” The two actors have since buried the hatchet and are getting along again. A studio source told THR:
"What happened is over, and no one expects there to be any lingering effects. When it comes time to promote the movie, this will have no bearing."
These two actors aren’t the only ones that have had issues while shooting a film or TV project. There are several others, and I thought I’d look up a few of them. I’ve come up with seven feuds between actors, and a few of them were pretty surprising.

On Wednesday Lawless hits theaters, but don't expect to see any Shia Labeouf sightings in the meantime as he is currently preparing for the start of production on Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac, which goes in front of cameras tomorrow (8/28) according to a press release from Trust Nordisk. You may remember, Nymphomaniac will feature graphic sexual behavior which Labeouf recently discussed saying he's ready to do "whatever is asked" of him and that the sex acts that are "illegal [Von Trier will] shoot in blurred images." Those quotes came out at the same time Labeouf was telling the Hollywood Reporter, "I'm done [with Hollywood movies]." He continued, "[The studios] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your ass and chase you around for five months." His honesty is refreshing in a business where everyone walks on egg shells and makes public apologies for stepping out of line.

Before they officially broke up, director Emmett Malloy beautifully captured some of the last few concerts The White Stripes had with the documentary Under Great White Northern Lights. Now he is back and expanding his scope with a cross-country tour of three different bands, Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Today Anchor Bay announced the DVD/Blu-Ray release of The Terror Experiment. Either this movie's really good, or it's a really depressing statement about the careers of C. Thomas Howell, Judd Nelson and Jason London. Here's hoping it's the former! In the film, "A terrorist sets off an explosion that rocks the Federal Building and unleashes a toxic gas throughout the ventilation system. His purpose: to expose the Government's secret biological warfare weapon, a deadly virus that instantly attacks a person's adrenal system, causing them to become inhumanly aggressive, with an uncontrollable urge to kill each other. " The film stars Jason London (Out Cold, Dazed and Confused), C. Thomas Howell (E.T. The Extraterrestrial, The Hitcher, The Outsiders, Camel Spiders), Alicia Leigh Willis (7th Heaven, The L Word, General Hospital)...

Warrior is out today, and in case we hadn’t made it abundantly clear to you before, we quite enjoyed it. Recently we had the opportunity to talk to the film’s leading men, Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. During the course of the interview, we discussed everything from the training regime the stars went through to get into shape for the picture and the number of injuries they picked up on the shoot to Anglo-Australian solidarity, and the pleasures of working with Nick Nolte.
In keeping with the film, neither Hardy nor Edgerton pulled any punches during the interview, and consequently you should be aware that it’s very much Not Safe For Work.

A few days ago, Transformers: Dark of the Moon actor Shia LeBeouf claimed to have clashed with Tom Hardy on the set of The Wettest County In The World, saying that their clash resulted in Hardy never doing, "that roughhouse stuff with me again." Well, Den of Geek recently had the chance to catch up with the star of Inception and next years The Dark Knight Rises, and he had his own take on what went down. "I got knocked out by Shia Labeouf, actually," Hardy said. "In Wettest County, apparently." According to the site, no one could tell whether he was joking, although the following was met with quite a bit of laughter. "[It was] behind the scenes! No, he did, he knocked me out sparko. Out cold. He's a bad, bad boy. He is. He's quite intimidating as well. He's a scary dude. He just attacked me," Hardy said, reportedly...

I think you guys get it that I totally love Zach Galifianakis. I’m a fan from way back when he was on “Boston Common” and “Apt. 2F.” I’ve even seen Out Cold more times than I’d care to admit to the general public because to me, he is the star of the film. I’m sure many are glad to see him have breakout success with The Hangover and I’m always interested to see what is new for the comedian/actor.

New to DVD and Blu-Ray this week is possibly one of the best comedies of the year, and definitely one of the highest grossing one’s of all time. Of course I mean the Todd Phillips’ film The Hangover, starring Bradley Cooper (Wedding Crashers), Ed Helms (The Office), Zach Galifianakis (Out Cold), and Justin Bartha (National Treasure).
Three groomsmen (Cooper, Helms, and Galifianakis) try to retrace their steps after a drunken and drug-hazed night of debauchery in Las Vegas in order to find best friend Doug (Bartha) so he can walk down the aisle at his wedding in less than 24 hours. The film is a madcap ride full of great cameos with the likes of Matt Walsh (Upright Citizens Brigade) as an ER doctor, Heather Graham (Boogie Nights) as a recently married stripper, and Ken Jeong (Community) as a Chinese mobster out to recover a bag of stolen poker chips from Doug’s pals.

The impressively bearded star of The Hangover muses on 'turning into the very thing I despise'
Zach Galifianakis lives in a world of his own. In his wildly acclaimed stand-up shows, he comes over like a cross between a perpetual schoolboy and an impossibly wise mystic. These performances, packed with ludicrous digressions and mixing silly jokes with moments of awkward bleakness, have made this impressively bearded North Carolinan a cult favourite among comedy fans on both sides of the Atlantic. But this year, it looks like he's finally crossed over into the mainstream fame, thanks to his glorious turn in 2009's biggest comedy, The Hangover.
After years of unsuccessful movie roles (the nadir was probably 2001's Out Cold, a snowboarding comedy starring Lee Majors), now Galifianakis finds himself firmly in the spotlight. He's at the heart of everything that's great about The Hangover, where he plays Alan – the agent provocateur...

DreamWorks Animation is putting together its voice cast for Puss in Boots, the feline centric spin-off from the successful Shrek series. Zach Galifianakis is considering the speaking role of Humpty Dumpty, alongside Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek for the November 4, 2011 release.
The story will be a prequel that follows Puss’ adventures leading up to his run-in with Shrek, according to THR. Since the franchise is built on fairy tales, naturally Humpty Dumpty was bound to surface some time. “Had a great fall? What’s so great about it.” Oh, the mediocre jokes write themselves.
The Hangover has suddenly turned Galifianakis (and the rest of the cast) into hot Hollywood commodities. The 40-year-old veteran comedian is now the sought after actor for a variety of comedies and he’s already lined up 4-5 different projects, including a sequel to the bachelor party hit.

They make us laugh. They make us cry. Okay, maybe not so much. But they sure make us laugh. In honor of Judd Apatow’s latest film about stand-up comedians, we felt it was time to come up with our top 10 list of comedians turned actors. Some of them have found more success in one area over the other. Others have done a fine job walking the line between the two. Regardless of how the success is dispersed, each individual on this list has reached it at some point in their career.
10. Chris Farley
One of the most successful SNL stars to branch out into the film world, Chris Farley is a legend in the comedy world. Imagine if he had survived longer than his 33 years. One of the most iconic images in the last 20 years of SNL is Farley dressed as a Chippendale’s dancer along with Patrick Swayze.

My cheeks hurt, seriously, they are hurting me from laughing so hard through Todd Philips’ The Hangover. The Hangover is now atop my list of favorite comedies in the last I don’t know how many years. Old School has it’s spot, Out Cold has been watched over and over, Superbad was funny but in a very immature crude way, The Hangover gets my top spot for comedies period. Yes Life of Bryan and all of the classics are up there, but this hit the spot big time!!
Philips’ has done a great job of bringing Las Vegas to us. The on set locations of Cesar’s Palace along with many other “on the strip” locations is all brought to the viewer in the best way possible. The real way! The hallways are from Cesar’s, the elevator scenes, the rooms, everything is real and it makes the movie what it is.

Seven or eight of you probably fell in love with Zach Galifiniakis during his break out role in the hilarious, over-the-top, drunken snowboarding comedy Out Cold which may or may not have been the last time Jason London was in a movie. Unless you count Dracula III: Legacy. Which I don't. Or if you mistake him for Jeremy London who really hasn't worked since then. Which I do. The rest of you fell in love with him through his stand up work for The Comedians of Comedy or his solo DVD Live at the Purple Onion. I make no secret of my love of Galifiniakis's comedy. He's a modern-day Andy Kaufman, creating uncomfortable scenarios and making us laugh at things that we probably never thought we'd respond to. A comedian who is not afraid to mix high brow with fart jokes or to dress up like Annie, flaunting his polkadot dress all over the stage. I...

Hanging '8': Braff rewrites Fox surf flick
Garden State writer-director-actor Zach Braff has come on board to rewrite the surfing flick 8 Track for Fox 2000. Shawn Corridan wrote the first draft of the script, which Fox optioned last year with Brendan and Emmett Malloy attached to direct and Gil Netter producing. 8 Track is described as a gritty coming-of-age story set in the surfing world. Rodney Ferrell originally brought the project to Fox 2000 for Elizabeth Gabler. Braff's writing credits include the Sundance hit Garden State and the upcoming Andrew Henry's Meadow, which he also will direct. Repped by CAA, BenderSpink and attorney David Fox, the Malloy brothers' credits include Out Cold and numerous music videos. Braff is repped by CAA, Industry Entertainment and attorney David Fox of Myman, Abell, Fineman, Greenspan and Light.

Corridan paddles out with Malloys for '8 Track' pic
Fox 2000 has picked up Shawn Corridan's surfing project 8 Track with directing team the Malloy brothers on board to helm. The project is described as Stand by Me set in the surf world. It is understood that the project is being envisioned as a small, gritty coming-of-age surf story rather than a slick, big-budget surf film. The writer has close ties to the subject matter: Corridan grew up as a surfer and drew on many of his own experiences in writing the script. At the studio, the project was brought in by Fox 2000 creative executive Rodney Ferrell for division topper Elizabeth Gabler. Corridan is repped by MBST Entertainment's Brendon McDonald and attorney Jeff Frankel at Colden, McKuin & Frankel. 8 Track represents his first feature sale. He recently teamed with scribes Tony Gayton and Joe Gayton to develop a series of pitches that the trio will be taking out to studios during the next few months. The Malloy team -- Brendan and Emmett Malloy -- is repped by CAA, Benderspink and attorney David Fox. Together they have directed videos for such artists as Avril Lavigne, Blink-182 and Black Eyed Peas. They also directed the feature Out Cold.

The couple, who intend to marry next year, are planning to move to California in October. The veteran of eight TV series, including The Fall Guy and The Six Million Dollar Man, remained in Florida after the break-up of his marriage to Karen Velez six years ago to be close to their three children - and to look after his mother, who passed away New Year's Day. Majors explains, "I pretty much dropped out of the business for about six years." But now that Velez has remarried, and she and the children have moved to Michigan, there's nothing to hold the actor in Florida any longer - so he has plunged back into work. Majors has the new comedy Out Cold planned for shooting at the end of the year, which he describes as "a snowboarding story, a little raunchy" as well as Universal's Pay Or Play, with Malcolm In The Middle's Frankie Muniz, in the pipeline.
