It's Harry's third year at Hogwarts; not only does he have a new "Defense Against the Dark Arts" teacher, but there is also trouble brewing. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped the Wizards' Prison and is coming after Harry.
The German subsidary of Warner Bros. tried to cut down the film (as they did with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)) to secure a more commercial "Not under 6" rating. They submitted several versions but all were rejected by the German ratings board FSK for this rating. In the end ... ...
(at around 2h 5 mins) When Lupin is packing up his office, as the camera pans you can clearly see the Boom in the reflection of the glass cabinet.
When the credits are at the end, we hear Harry say 'Mischief managed.' and all the text goes away, replaced by the film's logo. Then he says 'Nox' and the screen fades to black. After the screen goes dark there is a familiar noise before the film finally ends.
