'Come Sunday' takes 2 IFP trophies
IFP/New York announced the winners of the IFP Market Awards at a luncheon held Thursday at Barolo in New York. More than $200,000 in grants, products and services were doled out to filmmakers in six juried award categories as a part of the 26th annual IFP Market & Conference. The jury gave the documentary feature director trophy to Scott Dalton for La Sierra, the emerging narrative short film award to Bernardo Loyola for The Perfect Day, the emerging narrative screenwriting award to Seith Mann for Come Sunday and the emerging narrative work-in-progress completion award to Mark Sobel for The Commission. The Gordon Parks Award for emerging African-American filmmakers went to director Andrea Williams for A Spoonful of Sugar and screenwriter Mann for Come Sunday.
