PG-13 | | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy
A major scene in the film involves Edward Bloom visiting a sorority house at Auburn University. Auburn does not actually have any sorority houses.
Young Ed Bloom:
There are some fish that cannot be caught. It's not that they are faster or stronger than other fish, they're just touched by something extra.
During the story of young Ed's athletic achievements in high school, which would be during the 1950s, he can be seen taking a long range basketball shot from behind a 3-point-line. The 3-point-line was not widely used until the late 1960s, and even then only in professional arenas, which Alabama still does not have. It did not see wide use in high school gyms until the early 1980s.
