  • Disney has been making what they call "original" movies now for some time. Seems like the craze has caught on. Now Comedy Central, that place we all go to find old SNL reruns, has made a movie. You would think it be funny. I mean, COMEDY CENTRAL making a movie. I thought wrong. Its really pretty boring. Its about a college student who starts a porn club and the problems he has trouble keeping it going. Its not really funny at all. Ide recommend only watching it if there's nothing else on otherwise go rent something.
  • I found myself enjoying PORN N' CHICKEN in spite of myself. Sure, the story is slapdash and winds up being completely anticlimactic, but you gotta appreciate a cast that is so enthusiastic. They seem truly happy doing what their doing, and that happiness is infectious. There are some truly charming performances from the five or six characters at the center of the story, especially by Ebon Moss-Bacharach as Hutch and Angela Goethals as Polly. The dialogue is quite clever, even if the plot is never quite as fleshed out as it should be. I get the impression that writers A.D Miles and Lawrence Trilling had some problems compacting their story into a two-hour, TV movie format, and so some important scenes were dropped, especially at the end. However, I had fun watching this. I think anyone who isn't too critical will feel the same.

Now, the previews made this look like a very interesting movie, a bit raunchy, and a bit sexy, but all in all, it sucked out loud. I did not laugh, nor did i crack a smile. Comedy central is my favorite channel, but they did not suceed in making a origial movie, and i question my loyalty to this channel. If you want raunchy, hilarious fun, then i would suggest you watch the man show, which airs a new episode every sunday at 10. 1/10

I mean seriously this movie is so unfunny and that it tries but it can't seem to land a funny joke the only people who say that this is funny like jenny mccarthys movie but seriously it sucks just that it does not even try to crack a decent joke it fails when it delivers and becomes lame as hell I wish that pornstars were funny but they aren't and putting a bunch of low rate actors who are not even good. THis movie is the worst comedy I have seen except for dirty love now that was worse but this movie goes right along with it and jenna jameson is not good at comedy she should stick to being in porn because it does not take much acting skills. All I can tell you is that it is not worth your time at all watch something better.
  • This television movie about an underground Princeton porn club had potential. It was better than I thought it would be. Yes, it didn't go beyond the Animal House level of complexity, but it actually tried to deal with the material using a small measure of intelligence.

Not enough though. I was disappointed that every time the movie introduced an interesting plot thread which would have made the movie about more than just "liberated students vs. stifling university dean" it was dropped by the next commercial because serious thought would have interfered with the party atmosphere the movie tried to foster.

This film is a great comedy, and full of not only entertaining humor, but also insight into the true nature of human... we're all horny beasts. Not only that, but it is a great date movie, especially if you and your mate are "pollymorphously perverse."
  • This is such a funny movie!!! The cast is hilarious and the plot too. I think I am going to copy their idea and start a porn 'n chicken club. The characters are realistic and the only problem I have with it is why would a senior in college be living in the campus dorms if he was anywhere near cool. Other than that I give it two thumbs up. Bravo!
  • Now I admit that the acting was a bit shoddy, but I believe that overall it wasn't that bad for a no-name cast. Also the soundtrack to the movie was very good. I mean, opening up the movie with "Strange disease" by Prozzak? That was not only great, that was also very fitting to the movie. And I never thought that I would live to see a movie where the song "Magic Chicken!" by the Aquabats would be fitting.

The movie was funny. Very good for a made for TV movie, I just wish that I could get it on tape so that I could force all of my friends to watch it.
  • This movie was such a stinker that I'm embarrassed to admit I even wasted my time watching it, much less even more of my time commenting on this sorry spectacle.

I thought it was going to be a funny and zany movie, but... this movie just isn't funny!! It tries (very lamely, too) to be a hip and edgy variation on various campus-based movies such as "PCU", "Dead Man on Campus", "Animal House" and "American Pie".

But it doesn't work. None of the characters are really likeable or compelling, the story premise is ridiculous, and really, I think most viewers are still more than a little uncomfortable with the whole notion of unabashed pornography in society. All the more so in the midst of the college campus environment. Say what you will, but most people still consider admission to college an honor and a privilege, not to be taken lightly. Some people, amazingly enough, still hold to the hope that our youth are our future. This movie seems to dump massive amounts of excrement as well as other bodily fluids on that notion.

True, some of this was based on actual events at a college campus somewhere in the U.S.A. But, having been in college myself, I can assure the rest of the world that, by and large, young Americans have much higher ideals and aspirations than those portrayed in this cheesy sexploitation movie. So don't come over here to America assuming that every college dorm on every college campus is an XXX-rated movie set with sex orgies going on around the clock. (Or maybe it's just that nobody ever bothered to invite me to one when I was in college.)

These are just my personal opinions, of course. Your mileage may vary...
  • I must say, first and foremost, the casting for this movie is superb. All of the actors in this film had chemistry with the camera and with the audience. The main 5 could not have been played by better people, magical. Film technique was a little weary, but for a cherry popper, it is just fine. Some wobbly handheld shots is all I am complaining about, but what are you going to do for a handheld? Comedy central should and will (via myself) receive great feedback from the viewing community on this one. I myself feel very privileged to have viewed such a to the point and believable movie. I myself, who am a college student, agree with every statement and every act that occurred on this campus. It is all very true, and as much as I would like to say, right down to the porno on campus. KUDOS to all of you at comedy central! SEE THIS MOVIE!!
  • I saw one of the many reruns. I thought it was good; it was a fresh idea, carried out as best we could have thought, even a little better. The pace was good, and the jokes where fresh and inventive. Yes, I think that if you find this on, you should watch it.
  • What a waste of time... I'm usually not critical about movies, but this was so bad I have to discourage others from watching it. Bad Script, Bad Acting, stupid ideas, and very dorky humor. Watching the commercials on Comedy Central, I thought this would be interesting, or at least worth watching...
  • Fairly innocuous, but lame movie. I was also using the computer while watching the movie, so the fact that it was boring didn't bother me so much that I needed to turn the channel.

After about 95% of the movie, I went to talk to the wife during a commercial. While talking to the wife about nothing special, I realized that the end of the movie was probably playing. I didn't really care, enough to go watch it, though.

That's how uninteresting this movie was.
  • Those of us at the certain Ivy League university at which the story told in PNC (or a similar story with similar characters involved) actually took place see much of the humor in this movie that the rest of the country is sure to miss.

It's crass, badly acted and excessive (much like the porn the PNC club enjoyed/enjoys to this day), but it's fun, and PNC does actually have its funny moments. Dean Dick Widehead (Kurt Fuller) is a perfect bad guy (even if the real man - actually named Dean Dick Brodhead - is everyone's favorite administrator) for a TV movie, and Geoffrey Arend has some wonderfully campy scenes/lines. he's also arguably the best actor in the bunch - finding some depth in an admittedly shallow genre.

I enjoyed PNC, and i laughed often. The jury's still out on whether that was due to the script/acting or the fact that the ex-girlfriend of one of the real people involved in PNC was sitting next to me telling me the real story as the movie progressed... 5/10

    Sapph.

(and for the record, the real Polly was gay)
  • This was a really lame attempt by Comedy Central to make an American Pie like movie. It just doesn't work on TV. South Park or the Man Show seem really ranchy compared to this bore of a small screen film. Ok, it's based on a true story??? What on Earth would that chick be hanging out with those losers for??? Don't even bother on this stinker...
  • I think the Comedy Central scissors might have played a part in why this film wasn't edgier than I would have thought, but it was pretty much a TV movie version of the teen comedy. Not that it was completely bad -- I read versions of the true story online and watching it I can see why they would have changed things around in order to make the story more interesting. When it comes out on video and DVD (which I'm sure it will eventually) I'm sure they'll play with the editing to show the version of the movie that they originally created.
  • For Comedy Centrals first movie, it was compelling and sometimes amusing. I don't think it was meant to be a comedy as much as it was billed that way. I enjoyed the film primarily because they were able to film in recognizable locations at Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary. The characters were well written. Any college student can probably relate to some of the people in this movie. This is kind of like reality TV meets the average teen movie. The acting was not wonderful, but it was decent. The plot was predictable and not very cutting edge. The best thing this movie has to offer is its portrayal of the college student in a real life story.
