  • Superprodukcja is a movie made by "Polish Spielberg"- Juliusz Machulski. It`s a comedy, but unfortunatelly isn`t very funny, you must know a lot about Polish movies and Polish cinematography enviroment to understend this film.

It is an example of a movie that should be taken lightly. It is rather not the very best but several new ideas were used. What is definitely unchanged, it is Janusz Rewiński's overall performance. His specific humorous acting is unlikely to become boring. Another point for this production goes for several Polish movie stars like Fronczewski, Globisz or Przybylska who surprisingly well played her role as nutty woman. Perhaps the main purpose of this production is pointing out decreasing quality of Polish cinematography but it should be noted that the movie is, despite of its originality, still far from perfection. Nevertheless, many quotes heard during the viewing and general concept encourages me to recommend this movie for those who like Polish comedies.
  • This is a very underestimated film by Machulski, people call it a comedy which isn't funny, and that's partially right - it is rather bitter. It laughs at the state of Polish cinematography as well as several other aspects of life in modern Poland, but both Hollywood and artistic cinema also get their portions. Reportedly this movie didn't bring him many friends in the world of movie business. One more thing is that it is perhaps the first (and only?) Polish film so far to have several decent computer effects. This is because they are more of the videoclip/commercial quality (in Poland they can make VERY good commercials with CGI, but a decent movie is still to be awaited); they aren't meant to simulate real things, but they are jokes, visions, parodies etc. They were made by the Platige Image studio which has the Oscar-nominated Tomasz Baginski in it.
  • A bitter satire on the Polish film industry. However, being very malicious is also full of abstract humor, although to fully appreciate it, you need to know a number of details from the history of Poland and the Polish cinema. (The comedy is especially mocking film critics, so do not be surprised when you find very negative reviews of the film :)
