Red Ezra was to win acclaim 4 years later for his Blu Dreams DVD, focusing on femme solos (posing & masturbating), but he delivered this all-star version that went beyond that topic to include lesbian scenes for Wicked Pictures.
It's presented as a showcase for Wicked superstar Serenity, who does not disappoint in the role of a model studying to become a glamour photographer, and her shooting other models and joining with them for uninhibited sex. Ezra wears many hats, earning seven screen credits under various names, and does exemplary work in all departments.
Opening credits has a surprise in featuring almost exclusively (though Serenity is there holding her camera) Felecia, the Lesbian Cinema icon whose importance in the years before lesbian porn began to be taken seriously (Girlfriends Films was the trailblazer, beginning the same year "Flash!" was released) cannot be overstated.
In addition, the truly all-star cast features an uninhibited threesome in latex gear (including long gloves) featuring Serenity with Kylie Ireland and Temptress; a wonderful salute to Devinn Lane in a glamorous setting that prefigures the Girlfriends look, intercutting between sex Lane's sex with Serenity and Serenity masturbating while thinking of DL (uncut masturbation scene featured as a 9-minute bonus on the DVD).
We also see a partly black & white scene of Stephanie Swift, soon to ascend as Wicked's top star, matched with newcomer Jezebelle Bond, a very colorful club dance scene involving Felecia, Serenity and deejay Miko Lee wearing nostalgic pasties; and a fun Western styled cowgirl finale featuring Shay Sweet and Holly Hollywood. Brad Armstrong briefly cameos (NonSex) as a shutterbug shooting Serenity.
Film ends with Serenity expressing her very optimistic approach, stressing change: "Nothing is guaranteed". It's an ironic message from jack-of-all-trades, director Ezra, whose directing career ended prematurely only 5 years later, as he has been relegated during the past decade (inexplicably) to just support crew assignments in the Adult Industry instead.
