7 | Why all the hate? Is it because we've grown up? This is still a fun movie!
Reading all the comments here, it looks like this is one of the worst films ever made, and it's absolute rubbish, ...
This is the only "Indiana Jones" film not to receive any Oscar nominations.
You're not from around here, are you?
Agent Irina Spalko: Where is it you would imagine I am from, Dr. Jones?
Indiana Jones: Well, the way you're sinking your teeth into those wubble-u's, I should think maybe Eastern Ukraine.
In the transition-map scene when Indy and Mutt fly to Brazil the locations on Brazilian Amazon are appropriately written in Portuguese language but 'Río Juruá' is misspelled. In Portuguese the correct spelling is 'Rio' (without the acute accent on the letter 'i').
The movie begins with the Lucasfilm logo, followed by the 1954 Paramount "VistaVision" logo (with the text "PARAMOUNT" instead of "A PARAMOUNT PICTURE" and "A Viacom Company" instead of "A Gulf+Western Company" below "PARAMOUNT"). Gulf+Western became Paramount Communications in 1989, then merged with Viacom in 1994. The Paramount logo then dissolves into a gopher mound. (The static version of the current Paramount logo is seen at the end of the movie.)
