Jack Sparrow races to recover the heart of Davy Jones to avoid enslaving his soul to Jones' service, as other friends and foes seek the heart for their own agenda as well.
Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), the main villain, does not physically appear until exactly one hour into the film.
Will! Why is this happening?
Will Turner: I don't know. You look beautiful.
Elizabeth Swann: I think it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
When Will is on the half-sunken ship and fighting Jones' crew, he slashes a crew member and fish gush from his body. Almost five seconds later, in the same spot he is hit on the head and falls to the ground. The spilled fish are nowhere in sight.
Near the end of the credits, the instrumental music fades out and is replaced by the music from Davy Jones' music box. As the credits come to an end, the music box can be heard winding down, and finally running out just as the credits stop.
