When Drake Bell broke his silence about the sexual abuse meted out to him while he was shooting the iconic (and much loved) Nickelodeon show, Drake & Josh, the internet lost its semblance. No one could believe that even their favorite character had to go through abuse while working on a show meant for kids. People were left devastated, including screenwriter and television producer Dan Schneider, who couldn’t hold back his tears while discussing how something like this transpired under his watch.

Drake Bell shared that his Drake & Josh co-star Josh Peck has “reached out” to him, offering support after he revealed in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV that he was abused.
In the harrowing four-part ID docuseries, the actor-musician shared his story of alleged abuse by his former dialogue coach, Brian Peck, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a Nickelodeon child actor in 2004. Viewers have now learned that Bell, who was a minor at 15 years of age at the time, was at the center of that criminal case and conviction.
Following the revelations about allegations of abuse, some fans took to Josh Peck’s social media to criticize him for staying silent. After Bell’s stint on The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2002, he later starred alongside Josh Peck in the popular Nickelodeon show, Drake & Josh, for four seasons from 2004 to 2007.

This story about Austin Butler and “Elvis” first appeared in the Down to the Wire issue of TheWrap’s awards magazine.
In many ways, the central song in Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” is “Suspicious Minds,” the thrilling 1969 single that was Elvis Presley’s first No. 1 record in seven years. The key lines of that song, which Luhrmann uses as something of a leitmotif in the final stretches of the film, are “We’re caught in a trap, we can’t get out,” which are partly a declaration of the singer’s love but also a cry of despair from a man whose fame has put him on a pathway to excess and premature death.

‘Elvis’ star Austin Butler may have received his first-ever Oscar nomination, but he is not forgetting where he came from. The 31-year-old actor’s IMDb biography was penned by his “proud parents,” David Butler and his late mom Lori Butler in 2007, and has been kept the same to this day, reports People magazine.
In the biography, his parents sweetly raved about their son’s early acting career that began after he landed “a rather permanent background-acting gig” on the Nickelodeon series, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide in 2004, and “from that point on, he considered himself to be a serious actor.”
According to his parents, Butler’s “first named (albeit uncredited) character was ‘Toby’ in the Hannah Montana episode ‘Oops, I Meddled Again’ in 2006 (girl broke up with him).”
Then his “first speaking role was in ‘Zoey 101’ as ‘Dannifer’ or ‘Wrong Danny’.” They joked that while he got a “meatier...

Lindsey Shaw is leaving social media behind ... for now.
The actress was criticized for making fun of a popular TikTok dance made popular by Black TikTok creators.
The former Pretty Little Liars and Ned's Declassified star shared a clip on her own account before cutting to herself doing the dance and saying the following:
"Hey, are we Ok? What the f**k is this?"
Lindsey's Ned's Declassified co-star, Devon Werkheiser, who is white, posted the same clip but put himself in the video to share the dance ahead of her comments.
This was days earlier, and Lindsey had commented, "Get it!!!!"
There were also laughing face emojis on the same post from Shaw.
Shaw was called out in the comments section, but the star did not back down initially before sharing a video with her crying and talking about the backlash she has received.

‘Selena’ Star Christian Serratos on Playing the Singer and the Inevitable Jennifer Lopez Comparisons
Getting to play Selena, one of the most popular Mexican American entertainers in modern times, was reason enough for Christian Serratos to take the titular role in Netflix’s new bio series “Selena.”
But more than that, Serratos wanted her 3-year-old daughter, Wolfgang, to see her portray the late singer.
“I grew up loving Selena so much,” she says during this week’s episode of the Variety and iHeart podcast “The Big Ticket.” “She has crossed so many generations, and new generations are going to fall in love with her. I know my daughter is going to be no different. So for my daughter to see that I played an iconic Mexican woman like her I think is really powerful.”
Serratos, who stars on “The Walking Dead,” got her start as a child actor on Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” in the mid-aughts, followed by playing Angela in the “Twilight” franchise.

It's been a big week for ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars." The show's highly-anticipated fifth season premiered on Tuesday, and that same day it was renewed for sixth and seventh seasons. Squeal!
What better time than now to view some clips of the "Pretty Little" actresses before they hit it big? Some of the ladies have been acting since they were little kids and have quite the resumes under their belts. Ashley Benson performed in over a dozen projects before she landed her role as Hanna Marin, and Lucy Hale appeared in shows like "The O.C." and "The Bionic Woman" prior to being a "Liar."
Here's Ashley Benson on "7th Heaven" in 2005:
Catch little Lucy Hale on an episode of "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide" from the same year:
Did you know Troian Bellisario (Spencer) worked with the Olsen twins? She appeared in the 1998 classic "Billboard Dad":...

Every town in America has their version of The Wicked. They're the weird person, house, or other location kids whisper about amongst themselves in fear and parents use to threaten their children with. It's the old house on the hill everyone walks faster by on the way home from school or the old man or woman we're told not to talk to.
Director Peter Winther and writer Michael Vickerman put together a fun little indie film that is only hindered by shoddy CGI and a wavering sense of who it was made for. The Wicked is an extended episode of R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour until we get one or two sequences of sexuality and dialogue littered with bad language. Movies like this always leave me shaking my head in wonder. If they tone down those elements or omit them, they would have a PG-13 film that more people could enjoy.

As TV thrillers go, this was one of the more tense Criminal Minds episodes. As usual, I found myself conflicted between the great writing and the horrific subject matter, especially as the latter involved children.
Tonight's UnSubs in "The Wheels on the Bus" were a pair of brothers who, after being kicked off of a gaming site, decided to create their own version of the online video game entitled "Gods of Conflict" by playing it out in real life, using high school students as their game pieces, and real guns as their weaponry.
The gameplay around the first confrontation seemed uneven: one player merely had to open a box with a key, take out a gun and shoot the other player, whereas the other had to assemble a gun before he could even get in the game. I couldn't buy the fact that the girl remained functional after killing her classmate,...
