The film was a major flop, despite its strong cast, direction, and production team. Few critics endorsed it, despite garnering strong Oscar buzz before its initial opening.
Time brings all things to light, I trust it so.
You can clearly see a Mississippi River bridge (built in the 1980s) in the background shots of his early political speeches where he promises to build a bridge across the Mississippi River.
