As Harry Potter begins his sixth year at Hogwarts, he discovers an old book marked as "the property of the Half-Blood Prince" and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past.
Bill Nighy was hired to play Rufus Scrimgeour (Minister of Magic), but there was no place for the character in the film. Instead, the same role was reassigned to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010).
I killed Sirius Black!
Just before Dumbledore and Harry go on their Horcrux mission, the silhouette of a stage hand can be seen in the clock tower ducking out of sight when he realizes he's on camera.
The end credits take their shape from what look like ink spills, resembling the appearance of the collected memories when they are poured into Dumbledore's Pensieve.
