Screenwriter Damon Lindelof has tweeted an 'apology' to fans offended by a revealing scene involving English actress, Alice Eve's character 'Carol Marcus', in "Star Trek Into Darkness".

"I copped to the fact that we should have done a better job of not being gratuitous in our representation of a barely clothed actress," tweeted Lindelof. "...what I’m saying is I hear you, I take responsibility and will be more mindful in the future..."

Once the go-to man for feckless losers, Rafe Spall reveals how losing five stone transformed him into a romantic lead in I Give It A Year and turned his career around
Rafe Spall takes me by surprise. I'm expecting a little fella, a bit porky, not much of a looker. And here he is, 6ft 3in, svelte, smart. Over the past few years, Spall has been the go-to man for feckless losers – there's his sports reporter Pete in the TV comedy Pete Versus Life, who will do or say anything to get a girl into bed, the fascist clever-clogs in The Rotters' Club, the drippy Ian in One Day.
But next month Spall will be playing the newly wed Josh in the very funny romcom I Give It A Year. Not only is this his first lead; Spall has reinvented himself as a lean, mean, six-packed machine, a successful novelist,...

It's easy to view the new film Lawrence of Belgravia as a depressing film about a delusional musician – but better to think of it as an excuse to celebrate Lawrence himself
In 1986, Lawrence, the mononamed frontman of Felt, recruited a new bass player. Phil King (later of Lush) was chosen not merely for his musicianship or his ability to fit in with the enigmatic indie band, but for his hair, seemingly always a deciding factor when Lawrence hired or fired musicians: an early drummer had been booted out because his was too curly, a previous bassist had got the gig because his was "lovely and thick". There was excitement around Felt at the time. Everyone seemed to think their forthcoming album, Forever Breathes the Lonely Word, was magnificent. There was talk of an NME cover. The West Midlands meeting between King and Lawrence, however, somehow didn't suggest a gleaming future.

Michael Fassbender and Alice Eve Things appear to be progressing nicely as casting continues to take shape for director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. On Friday (6/25) Heat Vision report Michael Fassbender had officially signed on to play young Magneto and today Deadline's Mike Fleming has the news that Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) is being courted to play the role of the telepathic Emma Frost, a character who (geek alert!) IGN named "Hottest Comic Book Babe" of 2005.
Set for a June 3, 2011 release, First Class will trace the rivalry between Magneto and Professor X (played by the previously announced James McAvoy) from their early friendship through the dissolution that made them the bitter enemies we have become more familiar with through Fox's previous X-Men franchise that started with Bryan Singer's X-Men in 2000.
Fassbender had been jostling between two Marvel franchises in recent weeks, as he was said...
