As she remains involuntarily committed to a hospital on a psychiatric hold, an old interview of Amanda Bynes' reminds us of the days when she was focused on keeping it together and avoiding the temptations of fame.
Back in 2007 during a "Showbiz Tonight" interview, the former Nickelodeon star responded to a question about how she managed to avoid jail, rehab, and other places young actresses like Lindsay Lohan may find themselves, saying, "I'm very lucky I have a great family and I have my eye on the prize which for me is a long career and I just don't want to blow what I've worked so hard to achieve."

While promoting her new We TV series, "Kendra on Top," Kendra Wilkinson made a comment about Nadya "Octomom" Suleman for which she now wants to apologize.
“I was on 'Showbiz Tonight' and I talked about Octomom and I accidently said something I shouldn’t have said,” Kendra told me. “It’s something that doesn’t reflect how I really feel. They asked me what I felt about her going into the stripping world and I said she should spend that time to set an example for her kids, but that’s not true. What is she going to do? She needs the money. That’s the only thing she can do. I hate talking about someone like that, because this person really needs help."
Kendra said the hardest thing for her to do is judge other people. She said she hates commenting on celebrities in trouble, as no one is perfect.

The Tea Party movement has their own news network, and now, they're turning to admitted fiction.
Having long accused Hollywood of raging liberalism, a group of conservatives have banded together to start Colony Bay Productions, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a startup production company that will create right wing-tinged content. Founded by Jonathan Wilson, an experienced Hollywood development executive, and James Patrick Riley, an experienced Patrick Henry impersonator, the company will debut its first show, "Courage, New Hampshire," on Saturday night.

Often the target of conservative and religious criticism for its portrayal of openly gay high school students, musical dramedy "Glee" sparked rightwing rage once again Tuesday night for its special 90-minute gay-themed episode. And it should be of no surprise that Lady Gaga was at the center of the alleged controversy.
*Spoilers Below*
The episode featured Kurt, played by Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer, returning to his old school and receiving an apology from a closeted gay football player who had bullied him. Celebrating acceptance, the show's cast sings Lady Gaga's gay pride anthem "Born This Way," and all seems well at McKinley High once again (relatively speaking). But it's that coming together that has conservatives once again upset with the show.
Hitting out at show creator Ryan Murphy, conservative media critic Dan Gainor told ABC News that it was his "latest depraved initiative to promote his gay agenda.

When it comes to Glbt issues, CNN's Showbiz Tonight may have reached a new low this week, with their segment "Hollywood and flexisexuality."
Watch for yourself.
What's so bad? It's hard to know where to start. Clearly, the purpose of this piece of "journalism" was mostly to titillate male viewers with Megan Fox crawling around in her underwear and other clips of women kissing.
From Brooke Anderson's inane introduction, where she breathlessly announces the trend that could "redefine how we all talk about sex forever," to the self-serving warning that the content would touch on topics of an "adult nature," the segment was pretty much an embarrassment from start to finish.
Probably the most egregious aspect to the "report" is the way it reduces bisexuals — er, "flexisexuals'? — to wanton sexpots who "don't want to play by the rules." Then there is the "expert" named Dr. Reef Karim — a Psychiatrist...

After Rodney Jerkins discusses 'out-of-the-box' track, a rep for Barker confirms collabo to MTV News.

In a recent interview with MTV News, producer Rodney Jerkins said that, on her upcoming Femme Fatale album, Britney Spears got "hands-on," supplying him with "a lot of ideas" and helping shape the energetic sound of the project.
"She's great. She gets it," Jerkins said. "She is a top-notch veteran pro at this now."
So it should probably come as no surprise that, somewhere along the line, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker came to be involved in recording the album — because, while we're not sure if bringing him onboard was Britney's idea, he is most certainly the kind who can bring the energy.
And, as Jerkins said in a recent sit-down with Headline News' "Showbiz Tonight," the experience of working with Spears and Barker was...

Camille Donatacci is getting over her divorce from Kelsey Grammer by heading to the Oscars. The former Playboy model will be CNN's fashion and celebrity commentator at the 83rd Academy Awards which take place this Sunday at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, and she insists it's going to be the "thrill of a lifetime" for her.
The star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" said, "I'm pumped, I'm psyched. Everything about the Oscars is amazing." She will be commentating live on the red carpet dresses and A-list arrivals as they happen and insists she isn't nervous about the job.
However, one thing she is worried about is choosing her own Oscars dress. The 42-year-old blond said, "I just started the process so we're working on it."

We have had several problems with Camille Grammer during "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but her fashion wasn't one of them.
So, we aren't mad at the news that CNN hired the housewife to give her take on this Sunday's (Feb. 27) Oscars red carpet coverage. Camille will be joining "Showbiz Tonight's" hosts Aj Hammer and Brooke Anderson for the special airing live starting at 7 p.m. Et on CNN.
"We absolutely can't wait," says Hammer. "We know Camille certainly from seeing her on her reality show. She's someone who calls it as she sees it and that is a very important quality on Oscar night."
Like we said, we aren't too shocked by the news. We do think Camille's manager needs a raise. Not only has she been winning back fans on the talk show circuit after a pretty disastrous first season on the Bravo show, she recently...

God help us, she's moved to CNN. The most despicable Real Housewife of Beverly Hills has landed a gig commenting on fashion for the news channel's Oscars pre-show special Showbiz Tonight: Road to Gold. She'll join Showbiz hosts Aj Hammer and Brooke Anderson in offering knee-jerk ratings of the guests' awards-show attire. Says an exec producer at CNN, "We can't wait to get Camille's unabashed take on Hollywood's biggest night."
Ok, she's a sharp dresser when she wants to be (see above), but you'd think they'd choose a New York Housewife, or someone with more experience in the fashion industry. Perhaps the producers are drawing more on Camille's tendency to stir the pot.

Oh, JWoww. In a delightfully bizarre interview with Showbiz Tonight co-host Brooke Anderson, the Jersey Shore star is asked about "these awful reports that (an ex-boyfriend) stole your hard drive and sold nude photos of you." Anderson handles the question gracefully, but then she's clearly stunned by JWoww's answer: "And there's video, I guess, so." No! It's not just pictures, it's video? Yep. But to be fair, JWoww wants you to know she "doesn't recommend it." As for how the video came to be, the reality star also wants to be clear: "it's not like me posing, or like you know how like girls like do that?" Um. "These are like sleeping or like things like that."...

HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga has never been shy about her individuality and her lack of concern for how others perceive her and that renegade spirit has lead CNN’s Showbiz Tonight to name Lady Gaga the ‘most provocative celebrity of 2010.’
The result came after considering various criteria of public interest and outrage. Given Gaga’s outspoken nature regarding “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and her outrageous costumes, it comes as no surprise that she snagged the title, but at the same time, Gaga had some pretty stiff competition. 2010 was also the year that Charlie Sheen has yet another meltdown, Milley Cyrus tried to wipe away her squeeky clean image, and Lindsay Lohan was just being Lindsay Lohan.
So how did Gaga come out on top? Sheer cultural impact as Showbiz Tonight says.

Lady Gaga certainly made an impression this year. Whether it's a good or band impression is probably in the eye of the beholder. The "Alejandro" singer and off-kilter fashion plate has landed the questionable honor of being Showbiz Tonight's Most Provocative Celebrity for 2010, beating out such other famous eyebrow-raisers as Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. (And considering the year that Sheen and Gibson have had, this is no small feat indeed.) Reflecting on the achievement, CNN notes, "Even without her massive record sales and recent Grammy nominations, Lady Gaga was a force this year. She constantly made headlines...

It's that time of year. Time to round up the best, worst and most provocative that 2010 had to offer.
CNN's ShowBiz Tonight announced their pick for the most provocative celebrity of the year and not surprisingly, Lady GaGa took the prize. Runner ups included Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen.
While all five celebs have been pushing the media hot buttons all year, GaGa is the only one to make headlines that weren't in reference to a messy personal life. In the past 12 months, she became the first artist to be viewed over 1 billion times on YouTube, wore a dress made of raw meat, became the most followed user on Twitter (with over 7 million followers), flashed her middle finger at a Mets game, and became a leader in the campaign to repeal "don't ask, don't tell."
The criteria used for selecting this annual honoree is as follows:...
