  • This almost 12 minute long featurette can be found on Blue Underground's DVD release of "Deathdream", it features actor Richard Backus taking about his experiences in the role of Andy, an undead Vietnam veteran. His views of the fellow cast members, as well as the crew members, and the original prologue are all discussed. Not nearly as interesting as the featurette on Tom Savini on the same DVD, this is kind of dry and not really that good, still if you like the movie, it's good enough for one viewing I guess. But it didn't add much to the movie itself.

Twelve-minute interview with actor Richard Backus appears on Blue Underground's DEATHDREAM disc. Backus talks about various parts of the production including how he was hired, shooting in Florida, the political nature of the film, the make-up and of course working with Bob Clark. If you're a fan of the movie then you'll certainly want to check this out as the actor has a pretty good memory of the making of the film so he shares a lot of good stories. Some of the most interesting include what he had to go in order to get the job as well as talk about working with some of the other cast members. Backus isn't the most energetic interviewee but he manages to keep your attention with the stories being told. Director David Gregory does a nice job at keeping the show moving including giving us various clips from the film.
