When Lisa Marie Presley was nine, her father, Elvis Presley, died. During his lifetime, though, she spent much of her time at Graceland with Elvis and his ever-present Memphis Mafia. The Memphis Mafia was Elvis’ entourage, and they were with him at all times. She said they made her uncomfortable as a child and infuriated her as an adult. Lisa Marie shared why she found them disgusting.

While channel surfing, Lisa Marie discovered the E! True Hollywood Story: The Last Days of Elvis. She started watching and realized that many of the former members of Elvis’ Memphis Mafia were on it, talking about the end of his life.

Brooke Shields came up in a different time. The model and actress has been working since infancy, and when she shot to superstardom in the ’70s and ’80s, she became a lucrative commodity whose own opinion was rarely heard, but became the focus of many other people’s opinions.
This is all explored in her two-part documentary, “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields,” which hails from ABC News Studios and launched on Hulu earlier this year. Produced by Ali Wentworth, George Stephanopoulos and director Lana Wilson (Taylor Swift’s “Miss Americana”), the doc that received rave reviews out of its premiere at Sundance uses Shields’ story of being sexualized as a child to paint a bigger picture of the treatment of women in society.
Speaking to Variety, Shields says that she hopes to be a “conduit” for a larger conversation. She believes things have improved in the industry, and hopes the public...

Most of us like to cheer for the underdog or the sweetheart. But those characters wouldn’t be the favorites in their stories without the villains they face. But what happens in a plot where all of the cast is cut from the same twisted cloth? If rumors are to be trusted, that’s the premise of an upcoming new reality TV show from E! called House of Villains.
The series will put all of the biggest villains from across the unscripted universe on a collision course. The most cunning, sly — and dare we say unlikeable — cast members from franchises like Real Housewives, The Challenge, and The Bachelor will compete against one another to crown an ultimate villain hero. And, it might all be hosted by a real-life conwoman.

Like many kids of the '90s, John Candy was my treasured movie uncle growing up. The beloved "Second City Television" funnyman turned comedic superstar could just as easily make you bust a gut laughing as he could tear your heart out. Heck, he was capable of doing both those things in the span of a single scene. That we were forced to bid farewell to him at the age of only 43 — when he died of a heart attack in 1994 — only makes the time we got him all the more precious.
Candy's fellow wise-cracking Canuck, Ryan Reynolds, paid his respects to the late funnyman on the 25th anniversary of his passing in 2019, posting a short video of clips from Candy's movies on Twitter as "a small tribute to a comedic genius and Canadian hero." Three years after that, however, Reynolds revealed he's also working on a far more labor-heavy love...

"This Is Us" has put viewers through the ringer for six emotional seasons, and now, the NBC drama is coming to an end. While the cast – Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, and Milo Ventimiglia – of the Emmy-winning series is bidding us farewell, their close-knit bonds seem strong enough to keep the Pearson family together no matter what follows after the final season.
"I will miss these wonderful actors, these wonderful writers, and the best crew on television."
Last year, Brown spoke with Popsugar about the cast's relationships, noting that what we've witnessed on screen over the years translates into real life as well. "We talk to each other all the time; we're texting back and forth. We talk about the serious to the silly," he shared. "I will miss my family. Comedian and actor Louie Anderson is dead at age 68 due to complications with cancer. Luckily for all of his fans around the world, the American celebrity’s funniest quotes and jokes will live on forever. Scroll down to see 10 of his best lines.
Meeting Anderson in 2016 during his initial Emmy run for “Baskets” was one of the highlights of my career. He was just as kind and folksy as I hoped he would be. “I thank Gold Derby for being one of the first people on board,” he told me on the red carpet at a pre-Emmy nominee reception (watch above). “One in seven [chances to win]? Those are pretty good odds. Per pound, I have a more of a shot.”
The funnyman won the Emmy a week later for playing the lovable Christine Baskets, mother to Zach Galifianakis‘ identical twins Chip and Dale, on the FX comedy series. He was nominated twice more for the role.

Ordered to series:
“Ashlee and Evan” (working title)
This new docu-series will follow actress and singer Ashlee Simpson-Ross and her husband actor and artist Evan Ross. We’ll get an inside look into this young millennial couple as they try to balance life as new parents with a solid foundation of humor and love. Coming from two famous music families, Ashlee and Evan will take viewers inside the recording of their first duet album. Fans will see Evan’s rising star in music and Ashlee cautiously jumping back into the music world. We will watch as they face challenges and success in their marriage and music while receiving the unwavering support from their legendary families and life-long friends. “Ashlee and Evan” is produced by Citizen Jones and Cinema Giants with Jonah Bekhor, Jonas Bell Pasht, Jessy Terrero, Angela Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson-Ross and Evan Ross serving as Executive Producers.
“Busy Tonight” (working title)
Hosted by actress Busy Philipps, “Busy Tonight” features comedic commentary, interviews, and segments that go behind her most popular Instagram stories. Unfiltered, in-the-know and always entertaining, Busy will give us her unique and hilarious point of view on literally everything. Executive Producers for “Busy Tonight” are Busy Philipps, Julie Darmody and Eric Gurian for Little Stranger.
“E! True Hollywood Story”
The series that told Hollywood’s most compelling stories is back. “E! True Hollywood Story” is taking a modern approach, and providing a voice to the moments that are reshaping popular culture. Each self-contained documentary will explore a topic, headline, or person that became the ground zero for a revolution, change or shift in culture, told by the people who were on the frontlines of the story. “E! True Hollywood Story” is produced by Wilshire Studios.
“The Funny Dance Show” (working title)
For more than a year, “Stand Up 2 the Streets” has played to sold-out crowds at the #1 Comedy Club in the country, The Comedy Store. Created and hosted by comedians Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet, this one-hour format harnesses the conventions and spectacle of dance pop culture found in movies like the wildly popular “Step Up” franchise and TV shows like “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars” but with a comedic Pov. In each stand-alone episode, four comic celebrities compete for a donation to the charity of their choice. Anchored by comedian and pop culture expert, Justin Martindale, an irreverent judging panel critiques the performances so that the audience can ultimately vote on the winning team. The series is produced by Ugly Brother with Mike Duffy, Tim Duffy, Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet serving as Executive Producers.
“The LadyGang” (working title)
What happens when you mix the “Girls Trip” sense of female community with juicy pop culture commentary, no-holds-barred celebrity interviews, and three equally gorgeous and hilarious La ladies? You not only get a “Podcast of the Year” winner with over 22 million listens, but a phenomenon that graced People Magazine and made Entertainment Weekly’s “Must List.” Welcome to the LadyGang, the TV show based on the podcast created by Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek. “The LadyGang” is produced by Purveyors of Pop and Entertainment One (eOne) with Matt Anderson, Nate Green, and Cooper Green for Purveyors of Pop, Tara Long for eOne, Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek serving as Executive Producers.
“Nat & Liv” (working title)
Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson are influencers, designers, and fashion & beauty bloggers that have over five million followers on Instagram alone. But more importantly they are family. Cousins and best friends, this docu-series will take us to a part of their lives that we’ve never seen before from Vancouver to Los Angeles. From their hilariously direct older brothers, to Nat’s hippy sister, to their hysterical parents, Nat and Liv’s family will make you laugh and cry… sometimes at the same time. “Nat & Liv” is produced by Machete Productions & Cineflix with Amber Mazzola, Kim Bondi and Dave Hamilton serving as Executive Producers.
In development:
“The Twins Project” (working title)
Three vibrant sets of twins all have their sights set on conquering each of their own worlds. From radio DJs, to pop artists and social media fame, the docs-series will explore their dynamics as siblings, best friends and co-workers while reaching new heights in their careers and choosing to do so together, rather than alone. “The Twins Project” is produced by World of Wonder with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and Tom Campbell serving as Executive Producers.
“Written by the Stars” (working title)
“Written by the Stars” takes the most ridiculous first-hand excerpts from celebrity autobiographies and transports them from the page to the screen. Quoting directly from the books and with the help of a hilarious SNL-esque troop, the most epic celebrity stories come to life – viewers will see their favorite celebrities’ hazy nights, crazy affairs, behind the scene antics, and Hollywood secrets. “Written by the Stars” is produced by Haymaker with Aaron Rothman and Irad Eyal serving as Executive Producers.
“Wonder Women” (working title)
The need for stuntwomen in the entertainment industry has never been greater. This competition-elimination docu-series will follow a stunt director on a journey to find the next great stuntwoman. Each week, hopefuls will face challenges that test their physical, mental, and emotional strength – requiring them to give their all if they want to become the next breakthrough female stunt performer. “Wonder Women” is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, with Arthur Smith and Toby Gorman serving as executive producers.

Spring is here, love is in the air, and everyone is finally ready to go back outside, but Netflix’s April offerings are giving us at least seven more compelling reasons to stay on the couch for at least another few weeks. This month brings an eclectic mix of new movies to the streaming platform, from the sweet Americana of “The Iron Giant” to the decidedly less sweet Americana of “Scarface” — from the mad brilliance of Philip Seymour Hoffman in “Along Came Polly” to the brilliant madness of the Wachowskis’ “Speed Racer.” We’ve also got “Deep Blue Sea” and David Fincher’s “Se7en,” two very different movies about two very different monsters (super sharks and Kevin Spacey, respectively).
Here are the seven best movies that are new to Netflix this April.
7. “Psychokinesis” (2018)
