Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
The first production to film in the sound stages at the new Pinewood Atlanta Studios. With the exception of Doctor Strange (2016), all of Marvel Studios' subsequent productions have been filmed entirely or in part at Pinewood.
Howard Stark: He doesn't seem happy. Hello, Hank. You're supposed to be in Moscow.
Hank Pym: I took a detour... Through your defense lab.
Peggy Carter: Tell me that isn't what I think it is.
Hank Pym: That depends if you think it's a poor attempt to replicate my work. Even for this group, ...
(at around 30 mins) The first time Scott shrinks himself, he shrinks upwards, so that his newly miniaturized body is roughly where his head was originally. This causes him to fall 5-6 feet down into the tub. Every other time he shrinks for the rest of the movie, he shrinks downward, keeping his feet on the ground each time (save for when he shrinks in mid-air).
SPOILER: Mid credits scene: Hank Pym talks to his daughter, showing her a secret room in his basement, containing a prototype Wasp suit that was never completed. The two decide to resume work on it for her use. This leads into Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).
