A villager, Gurukant Desai, arrives in Bombay 1958, and rises from its streets to become the GURU, the biggest tycoon in Indian history.
The song "Ay Hairathe" is a modified version of "Ey Sharbathe Aashiqui," a classical verse composed by 13th-century poet and musician Amir Khusru.
