Sex/Life is a Netflix series based on the book by Bb Easton. It stars Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel and Adam Demos.
Sex/Life comes to us with the same pretensions as the first season: to warm up the audience’s mood with these handsome protagonists and their adventures full of desire, dreams and, of course, sex.
About the Series Sex/Life
The story of a woman who, fed up with a boring marriage, sees in her new lover new ways to explore and rediscover herself.
A series created from the production and from the intelligence of its author, Bb Easton, who has known how to read the market and give the public what they want, now in television format and just the day when spring begins.
You know, a whole awakening of the hormones for these dates so natural, full of life and with many new adventures for everyone, this time in the always frenetic New York,...

Baz Luhrmann’s movie Elvis became a smash hit. Despite this, it wasn’t the first or only movie with a similar style or subject matter. Here are a few films you might want to watch if you loved the movie.
Elvis Presley | Gab Archive / Contributor 5. ‘The King’
Luhrmann’s Elvis is celebratory in many ways. It also portrays the subject of Elvis and race in the most positive light possible. That’s to be expected given that the film was produced by Priscilla Presley.
The King is a documentary that looks at Elvis and race from a more critical perspective. It uses the “Can’t Help Falling in Love” singer’s legacy as a metaphor for the history of the United States. It features interviews with many notable figures, including Van Jones, Chuck D from Public Enemy, and others. The King didn’t get much attention upon release, but it...

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead season 11 episode 9.
There’s nothing quite like a well-executed flashforward on a TV show. Plot growing stagnant? Ready for something new? Don’t know how to get your characters from A to B without it feeling boring? Well, just flashforward to the future, baby!
Shows like Battlestar Galactica and Lost have deployed flashforwards to great success in the past, but no modern show has a stronger respect for the mighty storytelling technique than The Walking Dead. AMC’s flagship zombie series has advanced its characters ahead on several occasions, most recently to jump start its post-Rick Grimes era in season 9. Now the show’s latest flashforward comes at the end of the season 11 part 2 premiere “No Other Way.”

TollywoodUma plays the role of Manga, a headstrong woman who is unafraid to speak her mind, in the Netflix release 'Cinema Bandi'.Rajeswari ParasaManga, while playing the heroine in the movie that a few people from her village are making, is accosted by five men who tease her. When she instinctively starts to beat them up, the ‘director’ of the film Veera stops her, saying that in the movie, it is the hero’s job to beat up the bad guys, not hers. This is a scene from the new Netflix release Cinema Bandi, which revolves around residents of a village who find an expensive camera and want to make a movie by themselves without really knowing how to. While Cinema Bandi has many interesting characters, a strong and outspoken woman like Manga, played by Uma Yg, is not often seen in Telugu movies. Manga is known for always voicing...

This My Hero Academia review contains spoilers.
My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 3
“You’re not alone.”
Each season of My Hero Academia is structured around a major story arc that ideally brings Izuku Midoriya and company closer to their goal of becoming professional heroes. The anime has a tendency to rotate between arcs that involve rampaging villains or the continued training and competitions between U.A. High’s heroes. “Clash! Class A vs. Class B!” officially kicks off My Hero Academia’s Joint Training Arc, which allows Midoriya and the rest of Class 1-a to intermingle with Class 1-b’s students.
Class 1-b has lurked in the background throughout the anime’s first four seasons and a select few characters like Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Itsuka Kendo have already made an impression. A major perk to these episodes is that it’s genuinely exciting to see these familiar faces return. There...

Connoisseurs of classic detectives took notice when Netflix debuted the first five episodes of its new French series “Lupin” last month. And those familiar with the dynamic, charismatic actor Omar Sy — best known as the lead in the international smash-hit film “Intouchables” — imagined exciting possibilities.
The French actor has crossed over into studio films like “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and “Jurassic World.” He is a leading man, and his role as the title character in this contemporary, Paris-set series promised not only to spotlight that, but to serve as another successful instance of colorblind casting. Previous adaptations involving Sy’s character were typically written or cast with a white man in the main role.
But casting aside, viewers familiar with Arsene Lupin, an early 20th century master of disguise created by Maurice Leblanc, found to their surprise that the updated character bears, at best, a tangential relationship to the gentleman thief of lore.

This piece contains spoilers for Netflix’s Lupin.
As Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief created by Maurice Leblanc in 1905, is a renowned master of disguise, it is fitting that he has inspired a number of literary characters to take up his mantle. Arguably the most recognizable riff is Lupin III, a copyright-infringing, quasi-canonical descendant by way of Japanese manga and anime. Yet it wasn’t until Netflix’s new French mystery comedy-drama series Lupin—which reinvented the source material through Omar Sy’s Lupin and the lenses of immigration, racism, and fandom—that readers and viewers have truly been challenged to consider what it means to inherit, whether through blood or through books, an iconic character’s legacy. Consider this a field guide to the many different Arsène Lupins.
What is immediately intriguing about both Lupins is that neither is as white as the top-hatted, monocled thief that Leblanc created over a century ago.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got no more Tessa Blanchard or Michael Elgin in Impact, so the main event is drastically altered, like a Hollywood actress who gets a face-lift to look like Betty Boop…boop-doop-be-doop…boop! “On-Gaku: Our Sound,” an oddball music comedy directed by Kenji Iwaisawa, upends all that is typical of Japanese animation. glutted with mind-bending sci-fi conundrums or elaborate time-slip-body-switching fantasies. But what fuels its easy breakout to western audiences are its bona fide rock references and characters as deadpan as any Aki Kaurismaki cast.
Signs of “On-Gaku” being the year’s biggest dark horse in anime fandom came in September 2019, when it beat “I Lost My Body” and “Children of the Sea” to win the Grand Prix at the Ottawa Animation Festival. It has since been picked up stateside by Gkids and should enjoy wide fest play following its presentation in the Contrechamps Competition section at the Annecy Animation Festival, which just awarded the film a prize for its music.

Another horror film is set in another insane asylum. This time, the film is titled Eloise. The film is from director Robert Legato and writer Christopher Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes). Eloise joins a long list of horror films set in mental health institutions, including: Session 9 (2001), Psych 9 (2010), Blackburn (2015), and dozens of others. This time, the film was shot in one of the largest institutions, the Eloise Insane Asylum. Involving a death certificate and a large inheritance, the film's first trailer shows four friends, attacked by the hospital's supernatural past. The film hosts a recognizable cast. Eliza Dushku and Robert Patrick both star in this 2017 release. Dushku has appeared in several horror films, such as the cannibal thriller Wrong Turn (2003) and Open Graves (2009), while Patrick has starred in the recent Hellions (2015). The film hosts a large cast, which also includes: Chace Crawford and Nicole Forester. Fans of horror can see this diverse cast in early.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. A group of friends head to a remote island for some drinks, drugs and a four-way with two twin sisters, only to discover(after tearing boards off of the wall for no reason) an ancient, evil game that, when played, turns the players against one another, causing them to die one by one. Sound familiar? Of course it does. This same movie has been made a couple dozen times. Recently, Eliza Dushku starred in such a film called Open Graves. And, while that movie was craptastic, I can assure you that it is a cinematic masterpiece, when compared to The Black Waters Of Echo’s Pond.
The real problem I had with this film, was not the terrible, terrible acting, nor the nonsensical plot. These are things I can forgive for an interesting, and perhaps a competently executed premise. What I...

Born in Pennsylvania to a family with two grandfathers who fought in World War II, Mike Vogel now plays Army veteran Dale "Barbie" Barbara in CBS' Monday limited series "Under the Dome," based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

Another lead role has been filled for the CBS adaptation of Stephen King's "Under the Dome" as former Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre signs on to the miniseries, which will premiere in June.
Per THR, Lefevre will play Julia, an investigative reporter who just moved from Chicago to Chester's Mill with her husband, a doctor at the town's medical center. She's the editor of the town's local paper and is intrigued after learning of multiple deliveries of propane gas to a nearby warehouse. She's baffled by the appearance of the strange dome but more concerned with the whereabouts of her mysteriously missing husband.
She joins the previously announced Mike Vogel (Cloverfield, Open Graves, "Bates Motel"), Dean Norris ("Breaking Bad"), Jolene Purdy (“Glee”, Donnie Darko), Nicholas Strong, Britt Robertson ("The Secret Circle"), Aisha Hinds ("True Blood"), Natalie Martinez ("CSI: NY," Death Race 2008), Colin Ford ("Supernatural"), and Alex Koch.

How seriously do you think I take Halloween? Well, I’m fairly frickin’ anal retentive anyway, so I need to book my viewing in advance. I mean I’ll deviate from my itinerary, but I at least need a plan. I can’t be the only one out there with a stick up his ass. So this October/Halloween Season I figured we needed a little guidance. There’s too many damn channels on the cable box, no horror hosts and shit for advertising. So let me be your TV Guide… Keeper.
We won’t touch on everything and I’m sure new programming will come up as October gets itself moving. I’ll throw an update out there from time to time if a special is airing or a new programming line up is discovered, uncovered, revealed or undead. Yes, this is for cable or dish. Network TV will...

SyFy, or SyMeh as I've taken to referring to it (thanks Sam), is rebooting their own Riverworld this weekend, and it actually looks like something worth tuning in for. Sure, Megapiranha is completely dumb fun, but in the end it's the dumb part we need less of and the fun part everyone wants SyFy to increase. Will this Sunday's Riverworld series be that vehicle?
SyFy tried to get Riverworld going as a show a few years back. The popular novel series, about what happens when every human in history wakes up on an alien world engineered to be one, giant river, was adapted in 2003 for a possible series. The series never came together, apparently budget and production issues were never completely ironed out, so only a middlin' pilot episode was made.
This time out, SyFy looked to genre vet Robert Hewitt Wolfe, the guy who actually made the first two...

Taking on one of the biggest challenges an athlete can face, Eliza Dushku competed in a mini-triathlon over the weekend in Miami, Fl.
The “Open Graves” actress along with boyfriend Rick Fox took part in the third annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon on Sunday (April 11).
The competitive race which includes a half-mile swim, 19-mile bike ride and four-mile run benefits the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Shortly after, the 29-year-old star tweeted, "I feel like I ate the Sun! My body's burning up right now. We finished 2hrs45mins. @rickafox came in 1st place in male celeb division!" (Oddly enough, Mr Fox was the only one in that category).

Wow, is The Black Waters of Echo's Pond really Open Graves 2? Open Graves was just reviewed here today with a very similar plot. A group of young adults get together to play a board game that leads to their death. This is the plot exactly for Open Graves and for The Black Waters, which might make one think of simultaneous discovery. The present times create similar cultural discoveries like malicious board games. However, The Black Waters is not exactly like Open Graves, as the game only awakens the darkest emotions in each of the players. What happens next? Well, you will have to check out the trailer for the film below and if interested visit theatres playing The Black Waters April 9th. An Open Graves review is below that.

Director: Alvaro de Arminan.
Writers: Bruce A. Taylor, and Roderick Taylor.
Open Graves is currently being distributed by Lightning Entertainment and the film was released on DVD February 23rd. The film is smart, sometimes funny and blends death with the naturalness of life i.e. surfing. Paradoxes abound, but centrally Arminan's story is one of tragedy and unfulfilled love, while nighttime sequences are given poor attention.
Briefly, Open Graves is about seven friends who sit down to play a boardgame, that was: "painted with her blood and tears" (Open). The her is a Spanish Inquisition era witch, who was burned for practicing black magic. The what is called Black Mamba and those who play often die, sometimes beg, and occasionally wish for their previous lives back.

These pictures show a happy and surfing Eliza Dushku from the ominous, non surfer vibed “Open Graves”. She’s happy because she just did a bitchin air to fakie and obviously not because of the premise behind the movie, described thusly. A group of surfers discover an old board game that claims a life every time it’s played. That’s quite a buzz kill. Still Eliza is looking exceptionally hot, toned and tanned. “Open Graves” is a straight to DVD release from what I’m seeing, but as a Sci-Fi fan, you owe Eliza a renter. Via Egotastic.

Well, we've gone from the famine of last week to a veritable feast of DVD and Blu-ray offerings on home video this week. There's definitely something for everyone: Nazi zombies in Dead Snow, freaks galore in The Vampire's Assistant, beautiful people getting hacked and slashed in Sorority Row, and buttons being pushed in The Box.
In addition, two old favorites -- Ichi the Killer and The Crazies -- are bowing on Blu-ray. Throw in some good old-fashioned British Noir, a Ted Mikels collection, Eliza Dushku in Open Graves, the supernaturally infused Robin Hood tale Beyond Sherwood Forest, and a couple of old gems like Brides of Blood and Satan's Sadists from the late 1960's, and you'll see why we're calling February 23rd a "feast". And honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg!

Those of you who enjoy the student horror sub-genre will be pleased to hear that the UK DVD release of Eliza Dushku's Open Graves has been moved forward a week to Monday, February 15.
Take a beach surfing setting, populate with hot babes and hunky guys, sprinkle with supernatural shocks and you have the ingredients for this release, which follows well-worn conventions and is a sort of cross between Final Destination and Jumanji.
It's aided by some history-based dark magic and there are a couple of gruesome scenes that may make you wince (involving a toenail and an eyeball), although today's teens probably won't bat an eyelid.
Whether this kind of teen scream feature gets filed under proven formula or overused cliche will depend on your tastes. It will likely find its strongest audience with fans of Eliza Dushku.

That's not the official cover art you see on the left, it's merely a sales sheet cooked up by Voltage Pictures. No special features have...

As this article wraps up our interview with Eliza Dushku, we asked her to talk at length about her acting debut in the 1992 romantic drama That Night starring C. Thomas Howell and Juliette Lewis. Ok, that really Didn’T come up in this conversation, which was taking place to promote the second season of her Dollhouse TV series (but you can look to Starlog #320 for an interview re: Tru Calling and other projects). However, Dushku did mention Open Graves, a horror flick that she made back in 2006 that’s just seeing the light of day. But let’s wait a while on that one and start things off with Dollhouse.
In that Joss Whedon-created series, Dushku plays Echo, an “Active”—a member of an underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with various new personas. New personas, hey… Sounds a little like being an actress.

She tells us about the evolution of Echo, working with Joss Whedon, her horror film Open Graves, and… breastfeeding? How do you feel the direction of this season differs from the first season? There is so much being opened and explored. Last season, Echo had all these personalities downloaded into her in one punch, and they aren't going away. As we...
