A process server and his marijuana dealer wind up on the run from hitmen and a corrupt police officer after he witnesses his dealer's boss murder a competitor while trying to serve papers on him.
Seth Rogen told the April 25 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, that the filmmakers originally wanted a budget of fifty million dollars, but was only able to secure twenty-five million dollars, due to the drug-heavy subject matter.

When Dale and Saul are at Red's house and they're talking about Red's supposed herpes, Saul is pointing to Red with his right hand. When it cuts to Saul explaining how Red must have gotten it from eating a lollipop out of a stripper's snatch, he's pointing at him with his left hand.
On the font of the subtitles on the DVD (Unrated version), the edges of the letters have a serrated style and resemble the edges of marijuana leaves.
