Learn more- Dawn in México City. A middle age woman sleeps in her small room of an even smaller apartment. Everything is quiet. Suddenly her phone at her side starts up. It is a seismic alert application warning of an incoming earthquake. She wakes up and exists her room shouting the name of her son Arturo. Nobody answers. She soon finds out he is not home at all. She tries to run to the exit door as the earthquake starts but before she can reach it her way is blocked by falling furniture. As she falls down shouting for help she does not notice the heavy bowling trophy shaking above her until it falls heavily over her head knocking her unconscious. When she wakes up she finds herself trapped among tons of debris. Her legs beyond her eye sight and her stomach pinned under a metal beam. Although she does not seems hurt she begins to panic shouting for help. Nobody answers. Instead her phone, strangely at her arms reach, starts up again. This time is a recording from her son telling her to remain calm, not to give up hope and urging her to give some kind of proof of life so the experts can help her. She tries to answer with another recording when a sound of heavy machinery gives way to a cave in. Darkness and silence follows. Then she wakes up again in her room. The seismic alert of her phone. The earthquake. Everything is happening just like before. The woman is forced to relive the same chain of events again and again with minor alterations but all of them ending with a massive cave in. That is until she finds herself for a moment in a hospital bed along side her son and husband before she goes back to the darkness. Slowly she begins to realize she might not be trapped under debris but instead in a deep coma. A helpless prisoner of her own mind. Perhaps forever...
