Now out of prison but still disgraced by his peers, Gordon Gekko works his future son-in-law, an idealistic stock broker, when he sees an opportunity to take down a Wall Street enemy and rebuild his empire.
Javier Bardem was the studio's favorite for the role of the villain. However, he turned the role down to star in Biutiful (2010), and so Josh Brolin was cast. Brolin previously starred in Oliver Stone's film W. (2008). Coincidentally, Bardem and Brolin were the central characters in the 2007 film 'No Country... ...
You know what they say, "Parents are the bone on which children sharpen their teeth."
The movie begins and ends with a claim that the "disaster" of the Cambrian Explosion opened up all sorts of new possibilities. In fact there was no particular disaster associated with the relatively sudden appearance of new life at the start of the Cambrian Era.
