  • Warning: Spoilers
The wacko of the week is a teenager girl who takes divorce of her parents badly and bonds with another girl who just went through a divorce at home. She starts to cause friction with the girl's best friend and her parents. Things lead to a pretty violent climax with the family but didn't really get what the wacko wanted with the girl. Just because they were both kids of divorce doesn't seem good enough a reason for the obsession.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Throughout the film you're left wondering just what Cassie's motives were to get Lacy away from her friend and family and have her all to herself. I almost started thinking it was going to turn into a lesbian obsession because her motives sure seemed to be veering that way.

When her motives are finally revealed in the final show down, it's absurd. Because her parents are divorced like hers, she's going to take her away from her undeserving parents who shouldn't have their child anymore! It's ludicrous! At least a lesbian obsession would've made more sense than that.

And this is yet another one of Lifetime's films where the killer gets away and moves to another town to start her rampage all over again.

It was watchable though so i'm rating it a 4...The more I watch these Lifetime films, the lower my expectations get from them.

  • Any attempt to warn viewers about what they post on social media was completely lost in a plot that failed to tie the characters together in any meaningful way.

Don't waste your time watching this film. It will leave you feeling seriously dissatisfied!
  • So, i found this film on Fox Movies and its title was "Death by Friendship". Thinking it was good to watch another thrilling film with an obvious title, which may give some twisted ending i wouldn't had expected. But when i searched it here, its title was "Friend who kill" and "A daughter's ordeal". Ok. But it didn't change the fact that the plot wasn't even there and just another usual psychotic friend movie, added by the slow-witted detective + father and a helpless mother. Don't even hope for a built character, this film served nothing but a disappointment.
  • Warning: Spoilers
In "Friends Who Kill" (a.k.a., "A Daughter's Ordeal"), it was never made clear what was the motivation for Cassie's diabolical goal of violently disrupting the family life of her new friend, Lacey.

Lacey's mom Hope was a hard-working attorney and was not neglectful of her daughter. Yet Cassie seemed to feel that Hope was not worthy of her beautiful daughter.

The pacing of the film was inordinately slow, and the action was predictable, especially in Cassie's attempt to eliminate Lacey's bestie, Harper, from her life.

Much more interesting than the main plot was the legal case of Hope and her fellow attorney Nina. If the film could have developed that intriguing courtroom drama, it might have held more interest to the viewer.
  • When will Americans stop making these awful, dreadful, boring, terrible and pointless, cliche-filled "movies", with the obligatory "ah my gawd", "like" and "really" festooned all over the place.

Don't Americans have any more interesting words they can say?

If I could give it minus 10, I would.

Don't waste your time. Much more interesting to watch paint drying.
