A group of friends venture deep into the streets of New York on a rescue mission during a rampaging monster attack.
One of the original ideas for a title for the movie was "Greyshot," both a reference to the hand-held style of filming and the name of the bridge in Central Park where Rob and Beth take refuge.
It's 6:42 AM. Beth's dad's place. He's out of town. And it's already a good day.
When everyone sees the explosion from the rooftop, the explosion (and bits of debris flying from it) appears very far away. But, by the time Hud has turned around, the flaming debris has already reached the rooftop.
During the Paramount and Bad Robot logos, the creatures footsteps can be heard growing louder and louder as the titles progress.
