I've switched through some podcasts trying to find one that deals with things that are very much in my interest and after slowly making my way through Youtubers I found my way to this one. It has sort of spoiled other podcasts for me because of the structure as well as the length. It is essentially on average the length of a few podcasts. It's hilarious, entertaining, informative and creates intriguing discussions about media and films. It's a little meandering as the hosts can sometimes get side tracked and this makes the structure of it pretty much all over the place. This isn't something that bothers me personally but I can see how many can see it as an issue. So many memorable moments from this podcast that create talking points of their own. It is the only podcast I managed to go through all the backlog and eventually catch up with when it reached in the 50-ish episodes.

    Long may this podcast continue!
  • I really enjoyed the plot, there are almost no plot holes (objectively) and the characters are very fun (my favorite is Rag s and Mauler aka Skull on Wheels). The villains are all different and have special abilities and unique characteristics, which is cool. Every episode has something new to bring in, its not always about star wars like the critics say (though there is plenty of star wars too). The series has a lot of lore and if you want to fully understand it you have to watch expanded universe episodes and mauler reviews and rage videos, but it's not necessary to understand the plot.

What I didn't like is how there are still some plot holes. Sometimes the clever characters are wrong. But its subjective so it's not that bad.

Sometimes they also do meme reviews, which are the best part. I recommend everyone watch the Ackbar's theme meme. Other memes are good too, like spider memes and rino milk, and Bilbo Baggins. But you need to understand the lore of efap to fully grasp the magic of some of the memes, so that can be considered a negative I guess.

My final score is 9/10, I like the show but there are not enough spiders
  • Great podcast about Pop culture; they review and listen to other youtubers video about movies and video games. All the episode on the long side, but they want to approach their review with the most details as they can.

Humoristic most of the time, but their cristisim is always justified even if it take several hours to get there! Long man may be bad, but this is the only way to make sure they always have the full argument.

Great to listen everywhere at all time!

    -1 because of Jay
  • Jay Exci serves as an excellent manager for EFAP and his character arc is extraordinary. Truly the best character story telling around

I wanted to write a proper review for EFAP but I just remembered I need to water my Jebs.
  • Wow, a review made on a livestream.

    Long man bad apparently.
  • Known for their positive critiques of masterpieces such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the final season of Game of Thrones, Mauler and his guests thoroughly break down video clips, hence the name, Every Frame A Pause. The show includes a diverse cast of recurring guests include members of the LGBT community, many persons of color (including green), a suspicious amount of women, and even a dog. While their programs are extensive in length, I find them pleasant to listen to while I milk my rhinos. While they have endorsed Jeb Bush for President of the United States, they have proposed he run under a third party candidacy. Their program mostly remains apolitical, and focuses more on battling androids with bad takes on The Joker (2019). What their future programs cover is only known by the spiders. However, I would absolutely recommend this show if you have something to do while you listen in the background. In summary, their only real message is not to take your medication.

I watch/listen to every episode. They are a entertaining bunch and they cover a broad number of subjects. The memes are also quiet enjoyable.

Great podcast. May be a tad too long for some folk, but if you can make the time, you absolutely should watch it. Really recommend their Batwoman EFAP minis too, they are hilarious. You can ignore most of the negative comments, as they usually boil down to "long man bad". You will have a grand old time if you take the time to watch it. Also don't forget, water your Jebs, praise the Don, and most importantly Kick Jay!
  • This is an amazing show with a lovely cast and fun recurring guests who often engage with the community that is in return incredibly supportive of the show. They watch videos and criticize them in depth while also going into tangents about other subjects and jokes, all to have a good laugh amidst witnessing terrible arguments and discussing them from different perspectives, usually made by people who like The Last Jedi or Captain Marvel. At the end of each episode, plenty a memes and superchats. They often guest the people who made the videos they criticized and polite debates take place while everyone is always a good sport. That's when the people that are invited decide to accept the invitation anyway, otherwise they take the Jack Saint/Eric Taxxon/JustWrite route and be passive aggressive on Twitter while blocking and demonizing any dissent with a toxic horde of their fans slinging insults to anyone who objects to their assessments. Said assessments are usually limited to "their videos are too long therefore they're bad" and "they're a bunch of nazis/alt righters/incels/misogynists", and since none of those things are true, it's fairly tough for any EFAP watcher to just shut up and nod. The people who call this podcast a circlejerk probably never watched any of it and are just hell bent on demonizing everyone associated with it to any degree for tangentially hearing about it from someone who heard it from someone else in what is ironically their own circlejerk, where every dissident is just outcast. Watch the first 3-4 episodes to see for yourself, or you can just listen to them in the car or while you're doing something else. It's alright if you don't like it or it's too long to be accessible for your free time, but don't buy into the dishonest slander campaigns on social media. Free speech reigns supreme on EFAP and its community. Praise The Don!
  • Praise the Don! The spiders have blessed us with this beautiful amalgamation of milk, memes, and refuting terrible video essays.

I miss Tonald, bring him back.

I love this podcast. I put it on whenever I'm driving or looking for something to listen to. The memes are amazing, and the crazy people that they cover are really just something else.

    10/10, would recommend.
  • EFAP is fun to listen to even if frustrating at times. Frustrating because the format isn't great for giving a fair review of the people they cover. Listening to half a sentence to someone's review and then ridiculing it for 5 minutes without getting the full context is just silly.

But other then that the boys are funny, the memes are great, the fan art is dope, the superchatters fun (or scary, looking at you Ra) and its good fun all around.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This podcasts episodes average something like 7 hours long each. When I step out my door, I want a long podcast while I watch my feet. This podcast is not nearly long enough, there's no telling where I'll be swept off to.

Every Frame a Pause, also known as "EFAP" chronicles the tales of Mauler, the late Wolf, and the persistent co-host, Rag'es' on their quest to bring objectivity to the masses. Episode one introduces us to characters such as Tonald Loc, who has taken to calling himself "Downward Thrust". Tonald provides an artificial barrier of blockage that our cast must overcome, which the eventually *spoiler* do.

Afterwards, a minor villain appears called SinsSins. After much harassment over his Rhino Milk farm, he joins our heroes and is henceforth known as "Jay".

Season One ends with Mauler and Ragggs' defeat of the deadly Quinton/TRO combo. They nearly succumbed to the massive Quinton, but by playing their Trump card known as "what actually happened", they happily triumph.

Seasons Two and Three did it okay the way that they did it. They had themes.

EFAP explores poignant existential questions of our day, including:

    • Can spiders tell the future?
    • Is it ethical to farm rhinos for their meat, milk, and ivory?
    • Are movies about "space wizards" necessarily intended for children?
    • What makes good rat?
    • How incompetent can a space-faring bomber vehicle design possibly be?
    • Should you torture a man for offering you a lift on his motorcycle (which you then steal from him)?
    • Why do Disney and Rian Johnson hate Star Wars?
    • How many yo-yos can one man eat?
    • Does being instantly and effortlessly great at everything make a person interesting and/or likeable?
    • Is water wet?
    • The best teacher, failure is?
    • Can long man is good?
    ...and finally...
    • WHAT. THE.K?!

The answers to these questions and much more can be found in EFAP.

Efap is the kinda show you watch if your super gay and like watching Leftist trump supporters hate on women.
  • Every Frame A Pause is, in my subjective opinion, one of the most important podcasts in recent memory. I'd give a much more articulate review of this colloquium of interesting YouTube personalities, but reviews are the big gay and long man bad.
  • Where to start? It's a podcast in which Mauler, Rags and Wolf invite various guests to cover video essays and reviews, while discussing anything from writing techniques and philosophy to silly meme videos. Not for everyone, as none of them hold back with banter and insults, but never (or very rarely) with any actual malice.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Hands down Bilbo Bagface is the best character and there is no other character on his level of massiveness

It's wonderful to find voices who advocate critical thinking, ethical and logical constancy in media and literature, and respectful conversation with others who don't share your views.
