My wife and I watched this at home on DVD from our public library.
We see an air traffic controller almost overlook two converging planes, one landing and the other taking off. With quick instincts he manages to barely steer them clear of each other. This happens at 2:22PM.
Next he does something uncharacteristic, he goes to see a beautiful, artful aerial ballet performance, and there he meets a pretty lady. Afterwards they are talking about themselves and it turns out she was on the landing flight that was almost destroyed. He says he almost killed 900 people, she says that he saved her.
As the movie goes on other things happen at 2:22 each day and soon he figures out he has a mystical connection to a time past. And they eventually find out she does too. All in all a good romantic thriller, we found it somewhat better than its current IMDb rating would suggest.
Perhaps as interesting to some of us is the "extra" on the DVD, it discusses and shows how they converted a set in Australia to look exactly like New York's Grand Central Terminal where some key scenes are shot.
