A ghost writer, hired to complete the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister, uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy.
Although the studio advised the stars to avoid commenting directly on the arrest of Roman Polanski, Pierce Brosnan said during a promotional interview, "It's sad for all concerned, but it's also heightened the movie. The movie's in the can, he's in the can."
You realize I know nothing about politics.
Rick Ricardelli: You voted for him, didn't you?
The Ghost: Adam Lang? Of course I did, everyone voted for him. He wasn't a politician, he was a craze.
When Adam Lang emerges from the limousine to address the reporters, Amelia Bly crosses behind him and stands to the left. In the next shot, which shows the remainder of the press conference on television, Amelia is standing to the right of Adam. However the news camera's POV is different from that of the initial shot of the characters taking up position and Bly's positioning is not inconsistent.
There are no opening credits. The title and cast list do not appear until after the last scene of the movie.
