Now I do think this season has gotten better in the 2nd half But I cannot ignore the fact that what goes on in "Liberty HS" is just so far beyond reality that it's comical. HS kids and High schools in general are nothing like this at all. Sure some of the subject matter applies but the rioting and depth at which these "kids" go to make a point just doesn't happen . Things such as Tony winning a fight over a white supremacist and then making out with his BF in the ring just doesn't happen lol. Of all characters beside the obvious destruction of Clays character is Tony. Every step of the way this season has been just unreal. He's being harassed by school security and fighting for $ to have his parents smuggled to the US. The before mentioned kissing his BF in the ring and then Alex father stating that he's helping Tony by letting him go back into a riot for his best interest. Lol. WTF is going on with Zack? He going around with a baseball bat trashing the principles and Dean office and all that's happened is him getting in trouble for stealing a letter from his file. Again lol. Alex all of a sudden is super gay making out with any guy that will kiss him back. I'm waiting for the next character to come out at any minute at this point and say they are gay. Holes in the plot like Swiss Cheese. It is entertaining and I'm not saying it's the worst television I've seen but certainly the worst season so far and it's gotten to be so far from reality this season. It's always pushed the envelope but thus season is a bit much.

Wait a minute..At Liberty,a girl took her own life, then blamed a bunch of other people, creating a lot of problems for them.2 Students were MURDERED(Somehow though Clay's crew are the good guys, lol)and a SCHOOL SHOOTING almost happened. In my opinion,it's great that police are being called there to keep an eye on these kind of students.Though, somehow, the students are right?Creating a freaking riot because they feel their rights are being violated or something. This is just funny. The teenagers that watch this show, because they are at the same age as these characters, they can easily relate to their problems. When they see a peer murder someone and get away with it,showing no respect at all at the principal(who is absolutely right if you ask me),and creating a RIOT for no reason at all, basically, for a false reason, this creates some awful thoughts in the teenage viewer's head don't you think?Don't get me wrong, this episode, for 13 reasons why standards was good, but the message it's trying to promote its totally false,or the right messages they are trying to promote, are being promoted the wrong way.Jessica and Clay are the absolute clowns of this problem. They always support the student's opinion, which is often wrong as I said, and somehow they become idols for viewers or something.I just don't get it.Thank god this madness ends with the 4th season.

P.S Alex murdered Bryce but he is totally ok with it.Ok very realistic creators thank you for this beatiful show!

P.S' I feel sorry for principal Bolan,he is around stupid people all the time.(He is a bad guy too though, because he cares about students safety, real mature)

    Warning: Spoilers
What an incredibly timely episode, there is a riot at the school after the school resource officers detain Diego for fighting with Justin. The SRO says, "Mexican starting a fight" while detaining him, but they didn't detain Justin. The Netflix agenda is showing. This show is just so unrealistic. None of them get arrested, which would lead to the original unrealistic murder cover up being found out. In the previous episode, Clay escaped from a mental hospital with no repercussions. How do these high school students keep getting away with all of these crimes without getting caught?

Not to mention the school and everyone's parents are spying on them with apps on their phones, yet they somehow are oblivious to everything going on. However, if you throw every concept of reality out the window, this show is pretty entertaining.

    Riot
    Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Clay, he got into another dimension with Bryce and the others. Tyler got arrested by the police. Bill and Sheriff Diaz interrogate Clay and Tony during the night. Diego is threatening Justin. Diego fights with Justin at Liberty High School. Students protest in front of Liberty High School. The students throw their school stuff to the police. A car exploded at Liberty High School. Dr. Ellman tells Clay that he let the car explode. Okay Episode of 13 Reasons Why Season 4, this was just okay. I really hope the last Episodes will be good, to end this Series on a good note!

  • Warning: Spoilers
Coming from a country where young underage teen students are thrown by the police to rivers, brutally beaten to a state of coma and it happens everyday, the police brutality scenes were funny to watch. Because reality down here it's really scary. But at least we don't have school shootings.

Now, the Clay "revelation", not another "split", please. This riot should have happened for Hannah, not for a couple of child rapists. Yes, Hannah, Jessica, Chloe, Tyler, they were all children by law when they were raped, 2 of them in school premises. And what happened to Montgomery's accomplices?
  • Warning: Spoilers
I tend to only post positive reviews but had to switch it up for this episode. It's one of the worst episodes of television I've ever seen. There is a bizarre opening that doesn't fit at all with the show and the metaphor is outlandish. Clay and Jessica (the worst two characters by a mile) turn a legitimate protest into the least reasonable riot of all time. There are countless unrealistic and remarkably stupid decisions made time and time again only to benefit the main characters who have absolutely no reason to be given pass after pass.

The message of this episode is everything wrong with society today. No one ever truly takes responsibility for their actions in this show and it's maddening. Well Justin does, and he's the only good character left. How often can these kids get away with literally everything with no consequences? Clay, my favorite character in season one, has become my least favorite character in all of fiction. He should be in jail MANY times over. Season one of this show was fantastic, season two and three were enjoyable, but season 4 is an absolute train-wreck.
  • In this episode it goes through white privledge how a hispanic lad and a white guy get in a fight and the police only arrested the hispanic and saying racial slurs towards him but letting the white guy go. This just gives the show more credits for topics that people should be talking about through out there lives great show it gets to much hate for talking about stuff that happens daily in this world and imo i think people just hate it because they cant face the facts
  • The amount if ridiculous BS in this episode makes my head hurt.

    AWESOME
    Warning: Spoilers
The united students, I loved that scene! The message that if we stick together we will win, that was beautiful! And I love when Clay stands for what is right P.S: Why does Justin always end up in the same situation after a problem ugh! But I should admit that I like the fun Justin more than the scared Justin!
  • In all of human history, for as long as we inhabit this earth, this episode will stand as the single worst episode in television history. Unbelievably bad. In all seriousness, whoever is responsible for letting this on tv should be in prison.
  • This one destroyed me. It simply tells the truth. WE CANT DO ANYTHING. We are living in a f* world and didn't even ask to be here.
  • Let me start off by saying I hate when people rate episodes a "1" when they really just didn't "care for it" or it was "too slow moving." There's a 1-10 scale for a reason and to be fair, lots of those instances still deserve a "3-5" rating.

The reason I hate when people give a "1" is because it takes away from the times that episodes such as this TRULY deserve a 1.

I feel bad for being so mean but this entire season has been appallingly bad and this episode somehow takes the cake. Is it bad to quit a show 2 episode from the finish line? Asking for a friend lol.
  • I've actually been enjoying this season it's something different and focusing on something different altogether while showing the aftermath of when you cover up something. Clay is falling apart because of everything he's been through and honestly you feel for him and that ending is really making me think even more I get why some reviewers are splitting hairs over what's happening in the show but it's highlighting serious issues and the focus should been education Really keen to see what happens next
  • Possibly some of the cringiest, unrealistic content ever produced for TV or film. Don't get me wrong this entire season is a dumpster fire, but making an episode to capitalize on the current state of the world is rock bottom. It doesn't help the cause and is just a cringe way for a multi-billion dollar corporation to profit off of it. It's a shame because I was beginning to get into this season before they plopped this out of place garbage in.

Burn it down! Call out the racists! Love it! Ignore all the triggered conservatives!
  • Worst episode yet. The whole season has been bad. This show has become so unrealistic. The opening sequence: wtf was that!?! Dreadful.

Wasn't good. Regardless of a stupid riot the episode was boring. I just remembered how annoying they all are. Only the ending was relatively alright. Surprised I didn't figure it out myself

    Warning: Spoilers
Can't imagine why anybody would instill hate and violence in such way? But I can imagine the creator had a political agenda. Please make movies realistic - what you do does not help anyone. Why do you want to brainwash the young generation. World is not as bad as you are trying to portray it in this entire TV series. Kids struggle but why do you them think that it is ok is they disrespect their teachers and parents? There are many decent educators and police officers out there - this episode is all about hate toward cops and school authorities.

13 reasons why season 4 episode 8. The whole show has def had some questionable scenes. This show is supposed to be about teens in school that experience adversity or trauma (rape, sexual harrassment, degrading, etc.) I understand that. But the rape scene with the broom handle who the f is writing this shchitt? Its suppose to be for teens that potentially need to reach out. Season 4 ep 8 a whole new level of lame arss crap. RIP our city down by smashing everything to shchitt to get our point across? That's what's going on in the world right?! Its not peaceful protesting its f' in lame arss shchitt and people are getting killed. Sick!

    LMFAO
Idk what to say anymore... What kinda bs is that? I laughed like a crazy person while watching the whole episode :D That was something else for real... Thank god it did finally over.
  • This show prides itself on being as ridiculous as possible and it thinks it is so much smarter than it is. While the whole police brutality thing is timely and important, it felt entirely out of place here and once again just something to fill up the script pages. Netflix really managed to run this show into the ground, and it started with season 2.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Well, this was almost bound to happen: Apparently, Clay is Keyser Söze, and his master plan is to make us cringe and laugh ourselves to death at once.😏
  • FrankHonest26 December 2020
This episode is designed to justified and glorify BLM riots and violent anarchy. Violence is not the way to achieve good ends.
