- When an experiment to save Barry's speed backfires, Nash Wells searches for a way to save The Flash and comes up with a dangerous plan; Iris makes a startling realization inside the Mirrorverse.
- Barry attempts to regain his speed, with help from Nash, Chester, and Allegra. But to succeed, one of them must die. Eva makes a discovery about her origins, and Cecile learns how to use her powers while dealing with her new client, Rosa Dillon.—Gislef
- At STAR Labs, Chester is online talking to his sister and discussing the nature of the universe. The monitor goes off, and Chester brings up the source of the alert. He opens the Cyro Pod holding a costumed Barry, who asks where Eva is. Chester tells him that they have a satellite alert, and knows that waking up from the pod that conserves Barry's remaining speed force in stasis can be disorienting. Barry tells Chester to notify Joe, and heads downtown.
Flash runs up a building in the downtown, then jumps to another building and comes through the skylight. Mirror Master is waiting for him, and she tells him that they're on the other side. Flash demands that she return Iris and speeds at her, and Mirror Master splits into a mirror image and avoids his blow. She blasts him down, says that her fractal photons move at the speed of light, and he never had a chance.
Scudder and Rosa men come in and open fire, and Mirror Master blasts them down and says that she's cleaning the world of Black Hole's influence. Meanwhile, Chester calls Flash and tells him that he's tracked Eva to a warehouse and it's the suspect hideout of Rosa Dillon and Sam Scudder.
At the warehouse, Mirror Master turns Scudder into a mirror. As Rosa stares in shock Mirror Master tells her that she created Scudder and he wasn't a real man.
When Flash arrives at the warehouse a few seconds later, he discovers that Mirror Master is gone and Rosa--the Top--is staring at the pile of mirror shards that are all that are left of Scudder.
Iris and Barry are having takeout dinner at Iris' office, and Iris tells Barry that the others have left. She clutches at her head, says that it isn't right, and "Barry" disappears. Iris realizes that she's still in the Mirrorverse,
In Joe's office, Barry, Cecile, and Joe go over a map of Central City. They confirm that Eva hit nine spots the previous evening. When Cecile asks, Barry says that he has a few days, or maybe hours, of speed left. Joie wonders why Eva went after Rosa and Scudder, and Barry points out that they were working for Black Hole, based on a receipt Barry found in Scudder's "remains".
Cecile points out that the whole city thinks Sue killed Eva's husband, Carver. Cisco, Caitlin, and Iris are still gone, and Barry heads back to STAR Labs to get the Artificial Speed Force working. Cecile says that as Rosa's defense attorney, she'll convince Rosa to tell her where the Black Hole tech is.
At STAR Labs, Nash and Chester work on the device with the AFS. When they finish, Nash says that they just needs a fuel source. A tired Chester almost stumbles into the device, and Barry arrives just in time to catch him. Nash warns that the fuel source will use anyone it touches as a fuel source, leading to a complete molecular degeneration.
Nash senses that one of his counterparts arrives, and has Barry take Chester to get some coffee. Four other Wells arrives, including actor Harrison Orson Wells, Harry says that they've cracked the fuel problem. They can use the multidimensional particles in Nash to power the AFS. However, they need an organic receptor... like Nash. Nash refuses, insisting that he won't give up his new life. He tells the other Wells that he'll find another way and walks out.
In the Mirrorverse, Iris goes to "her" laptop and tries to message Kamilla. A Mirror Iris comes in and tells Iris that she wouldn't do that if she would.
Eva is at her desk looking at an online article about how she has retained control of McCulloch technologies. She plugs in a flash drive and checks the files on it. Eva finds a photograph of her, and remembers Joseph telling her that she isn't even human. She yanks the flash drive out, then says that Joseph doesn't control her anymore. Eva then smashes the photo of her and Joseph together.
Cecile talks to Rosa and says that if Rosa tells her where they moved the Black Hole tech, she can make a deal for Rosa. Rosa says that Scudder handled all the details, and Cecile reads her empaths and realizes Rosa was projecting a fake memory at her. Cecile asks what else Rosa can do inside of people's minds, and Rosa uses her metahuman power to affect her emotions. The defense attorney backs away in horror, and Rosa says that she spun Cecile's self-doubt out of control.
Rosa boasts that she was the brains of the partnership between her and Scudder. She sold Scudder out, and Eva gave her next mission to Rosa. Rosa boasts that the mission will blow the city away, and says that Flash can barely stop her when he can barely run. She tells Cecile that she could have become so much more if she wasn't afraid, and sits smugly down.
Nash is in his office, studying organic receptors, and Allegra comes in and brings him coffee. She says that it's nice seeing him caring about someone other than her, and Nash realizes that she's the answer.
Later at STAR Labs, Nash tells Barry, Chester, and Allegra that Allegra can use her power to take the multiverse particles out of her and into the AFS sphere. Chester points out that the stable is unstable, and Nash says that Allegra can use her powers to contain the energies in the sphere from a safe distance. Barry trusts what Nash is saying, but Chester isn't convinced.
Everyone goes to work. Chester turns on the sphere, and Allegra transfers the energies from Nash to the sphere. Once it's done, she contains the sphere. The charge drops, and Allegra warns that she can't hold it much longer. Barry shoves Allegra out of the way of an energy burst, which hits him again.
When Barry wakes up, he starts speaking in French. Nash realizes that the mind patterns of all the other Wells are in Barry. Barry introduces himself as Sherloque Wells, and they argue if his name is Sherloque or Sherlock.
The group goes to the conference room, and Sherloque acts through Barry's body. Nash figures that all of them can fix Barry, just as HR takes over Barry's mind and starts drumming. Then Wells the Grey takes over. Allegra blames herself for screwing up when Barry trusted her, and Nash tells her to blast Barry and put the particles back into him. While they talk, Barry goes into convulsions and collapses.
Mirror Iris tells Iris that she is a product of Iris' broken mind. Iris pushed her mind to find Singh, and her mind broke forever. Iris runs out and finds Mirror Iris waiting for her in the hallway. Memories of when Savitar killed Iris flash through Iris;' mind, and Mirror Iris tells Iris that she's a victim in every universe. Iris runs into an office and slams the door behind her.
Chester diagnoses the unconscious Barry with the Mobile Gideon. The AI says that Barry's brain is overloading from all the brain patterns, and only his speed healing is keeping him alive. When Barry's speed runs out and the particles are still in Barry's brain, Barry will die.
Allegra continues to blame herself, and Chester assures her that it wasn't her fault and the particles need some kind of organic receptor. Allegra realizes that organic receptors are what Nash was studying in his office, and he let her think she was the only solution. She accuses Nash of lying, and he admits that he did but the process would kill him and he isn't ready to die. Chester and Allegra point out that Barry wouldn't have let him die, and Nash admits that he was scared.
Allegra figures that Nash hasn't changed, and asks Chester to aim the particles after she pulls them out of Barry. He says that he can build a particle magnet, and the two of them go back to the workshop.
In the medbay, Barry wakes up and Nash is there. Barry is channeling another Wells, and works out that Allegra found out the truth. Nash says that he wonders why he's the only Nash left standing, and tells the other Nash that he and the others are a daily reminder that they're good men... and he's not.
Barry/Wells tells him that they were all selfish jerks, and lied and kept secrets. Thanks to Team Flash, they learned to be better... and that's why Barry/Wells believes there's a good man in Nash somewhere. All Nash has to do is dig him up and let him breath.
Iris barricades herself in the staff room, and the Mirror Iris appears and says that the two options are survival or madness. The original Iris realizes that it isn't mental dissonance, and Mirror Iris is someone else. Iris concentrates and the Mirror Iris disappears and a standing mirror appears. The real Eva appears in the mirror, and Iris figures that she's close to escaping. Eva tells Iris that if she can't accept her conditions, she'll never see Barry again. Iris hits the mirror and Eva's image disappears.
Cecile goes back to the interrogation room with Rosa, who is amused that Cecile came back. The attorney says that she can handle mind games, and admits that she's afraid of her empathic abilities. She bottled them up because she was afraid she'd become someone like Rosa. Rosa wonders if Cecile is trying to rile her up, and Cecile says that she's trying to remind herself of her fear. Projecting her fear into Rosa, Cecile gasps as her heart beats out of control. She tells Rosa to tell her what Eva is planning or go back to prison.
Once Rosa talks, Cecile goes to Joe and tells him that there is a supersonic jet leaving a secret Black Hole site with tech. Rosa has planted a bomb, and if it detonates over Central City then hundreds of people will die... and Flash isn't fast enough to stop it.
At STAR Labs, Chester makes ionic circuits to catch the energy that Allegra pulls out of him and into Barry, after they have "charged up" Barry. Nash tells Allegra that he'll make it up to her, and she says what he's doing is a good start. They begin the process and Barry collapses, and the multiverse energy goes back into Nash.
The others confirm that Barry is in control of his body, and he admits that he can't stop the jet. Chester confirms the jet is three minutes out, and Nash figures they need the Flash and touches the sphere. Barry says that they'll find another way. Nash says that he's doing it so he won't have to watch them die. Barry tells Nash that he can't lose someone else, and Nash tells him that he feel pride and honor for the first time in a long time... and the Council feels it as well.
Chester confirms that the sphere is charging, and Barry says that he can't be a Flash without a Wells on the team. Nash tells him that he is the Flash and always will be, with or without him. HR other Wells manifest through Nash and tell Barry that it isn't goodbye. The other Wells speak through Nash and assure Barry that they're okay with the sacrifice. Harry manifests and says that he was angry, and Barry showed him how to be a better person. He tells Barry to run, and Chester confirms that Barry has 80% of his speed.
Barry runs out, and Nash tells Chester and Allegra to look out for one another after he's gone. He's pulled into the sphere.
Barry reaches top speed and puts on his Flash costume. He runs beneath the oncoming jet, then up a building and into the air. Flash vibrates a hand through the jet, grabbing the bomb, throwing it clear, and dropping to the ground. The bomb explodes safely in the sky.
Barry runs back to STAR Labs, where Chester and Allegra are mourning Nash's death.
Later, Allegra is looking at photos of herself and Nash together. Barry returns, and tells her and Chester that ARGUS captured the jet when it landed and took the tech. Allegra regrets losing Nash just when he dies, and Chester tells her that Nash was glad to have Allegra in his life. Barry says that he needs to tell the truth, and will tells the others. He figures that Cisco will come back since Wells was like a father to him. Barry wonders how he can live after knowing the love all the Wells felt like him. Chester tells him that was the point, that Barry lives, and Allegra says that they'll all be running with Barry.
Barry tells Chester and Allegra that they rose to the occasion, and he wouldn't be running without them. He says that they'll get everyone back.
Iris sends a message via her laptop. The reflection on her screen ripples briefly.
Eva reads about Flash saving the city. She then brings up the photo of herself, and remembers how she was hit by the particle energy. She runs the rest of the footage, which shows Carver going to her body. Eva realizes that she died, and plays back the footage and realize that she's the mirror duplicate.
