    Funny
Not everyone has the same sense of humour so this isn't going to appeal to everyone. It's silly but it made me laugh, I watched all the episodes back to back and would look forward to a second series if they do one.
  • I don't understand why trolls feel the need to judge before they get into a series and rate it 1 out of 10.

A series would have to be seriously bad to warrant a 1/10. This isn't the case here. It's not the funniest series ever but it has its moments and is an enjoyable watch.

To all the trolls rating it 1/10....grow up and get a life 👍
  • The series starts off a little rocky. The premise appears thin, but it's really worth sticking with.

It is formulaic, but the characters really develop and the comedy becomes more natural and, in some ways, quite dark.

Horrocks and Punch play true to type and neither ever miss a beat.

    FUNNY
Anyone in the medical field can attest this show it's funny and real af. Check it out.
  • Definitely not deserving of 1/10. It actually has some amusing storyline's and tackles some quite serious issues with quirky humour. Fun to watch if you just want to sit back and enjoy the absurdity whilst recognising people in your own orbit.
  • I didn't know what to expect from the show. I was surprised and delighted by how funny and clever it was. It reminds me a lot of Brooklyn 911 but set an a London paramedics. Samson Kayo is very funny and has a genuinely professional singing voice. Jane Horricks is quirky and very funny as Wendy. I hope the show has more seasons. I really enjoyed it.
  • It is a mixed bag, some good laughs, some cringey misses, some truly heart touching moments - just like real life! Great acting from Lucy Punch and Adrian Scarborough in a small role. Jane Horrocks too. Some of the characterisation and acting are dubious.

I am not sure if this series will get a second season - if they do, some sharper writing and one or two new characters might make it more enjoyable. Good luck!
  • Funny in moments, i enjoyed it.

Put it this way, ive seen a lot worse.

    I
Only just watched season 1 recently and last night I saw there's a season 2. Well I watched all the episodes and it was like it just ends in the middle of the last one? I looked and there are 5 more to be released who knows when?!? I wish they didn't do that. It's not as funny as the first one. I like Lucy Punch( she's my fave) and her whole pining after Brian. Well I hope they release the next 5 soon!

It might appeal to 5 years olds. Painful comedy, poorly written characters and deals with serious subjects abysmally. Channel 4s old 999 comedy series "Sirens" had much more charm.

Sky Dramas/ Comedy spend an absolute fortune on production values and established actors but seem to only employ appalling writers.

    I couldn't stop laughing...Samson is so good.

I recommend to go check it out.
  • As others said its a slow burner but really well written with abroad range of characters you can relate to well worth a watch.
  • After 30 years of service as a Paramedic I have amassed a large number of stories about my work.

Some funny, some sad, and some which will infuriate.

This programme is trying, and failing to get laughs from the buffoonery of the crews.

I know it is not a documentary and meant to be entertainment, but do the producers really have to make out every member of staff to be complete idiots & misfits?

I can assure you that no one exhibiting the behaviour of the lead characters would have gotten far in the Ambulance service.

There are enough funny happenings in the job to keep a decent comedy writer going for multiple seasons without making the dedicated crews of the NHS Ambulance Services seem like the cretins that this show does.

Did the writers actually approach any real staff, or was this just made up as they went along?

Not at all funny. Not at all a representation of what we do, even if it is dramatized.

Cringeworthy antics that bare no resemblance of what happens for real.

We do mess around, and play pranks on each other, but when doing a very difficult & demanding job we are 100% professional which this show does not respect.

    A wasted opportunity.

Not even worthy of a 1/10 to be honest.
  • Just finished the first season (wish it had lasted longer!). Can't wait for season 2. I'm confused as to why this is on sky 1 rather than itv or wherever the usual quirky Brit comedies come from (not British myself). Maybe that's why it's been receiving such poor reviews? Or maybe it's just racism :(. Actually got abit of a crush on Malik, he teddy. Lol.
  • A pretty easy watch if you just need something basic, couple of good lines an episode worth a laugh. It's one of those comedies you've probably seen better and you've probably seen worse. I'd continue to watch it if it gets another season. I'm from the US and don't know where precisely you'd find it there though.
  • Love the take on paramedics with comedy . Its perfect the characters and their querky characters . Great program wish it was on netflix tho . Easier to watch.
  • Shame only 6 episodes this series is very funny, again I must be watching something different than all the 1 star reviews,

It is a very British comedy reminds me of 90s sitcom humour from BBC2 and Channel 4.

Its also very well acted the awkward moments work very well and the onscreen pairings are great.

I'm looking forward to more episodes and to see how the characters develop.

This is a very amusing show. Don't listen to the haters, give it a watch yourself. First episode is the weakest (but is still good), and the rest of them are hilarious.

Good characters, funny storylines. Particularly funny if you work in emergency services, but an easy watch for anyone.
  • Please if I'll be a s 2 giving at him more time! He deserves more us actor!
  • I thought that nothing could ever be as bad as Hitmen but Sky have done it yet again. Another unfunny, comedy.. Obviously written by the same team as the jokes are just as bad and it's more childish than funny. They seriously need to buck their ideas up, scrap their scriptwriters and employ someone who knows how to write comedies. It's just another 'Hitmen'.

Slow start but gained pace, well acted and funny. Definitely a grower.

Another strangely structured Sky sitcom that feels quite undercooked but has a blindingly amazing cast. Following different teams of paramedics in London and mostly focussing on the likable duo Samson Kayo and Jane Horrocks, but veering off with terrifying suddenness, to different teams who all have their own plots going on. The "will they won't they" of Barratt and the brilliant Lucy Punch gets old a little fast, Darrell & Darryl are fun but don't get much to do and sadly Adrian Scarborough's sad sack Gary seems to be a background character for most of it.

So nice enough for the most part, but has a staggeringly first drafty vibe about it, with story arcs appearing or disappearing at random, I'd rather sacrifice the all-star comedy legends cast if the script held together and the self-consciously frenetic "WHAT IF THEY START GETTING BORED" pace eased up a bit. I mean - imagine if the show was confident enough that each episode revolved around one team only, giving their individual storylines time to breathe and the last two weaved it all together?
  • Characters are annoying. Writing isn't great. Jokes don't land.
  • Absolutely brilliant!

Perfectly cast and written. Hilarious throughout. All the jokes land. No weak links.

    Just an all-round winner!

It's only fault is that it isn't longer.

    Absolutely love it!
  • The first 2 or 3 episodes were a bit stilted, but good enough to keep me watching. From there they just got better and better. Now in season 2, I can't get enough. Dismayed that there are so few episodes in a season.

And I'll just add here that Julian Barratt is sexier and sexier with every episode. I'm glad he seems to be getting a bigger role as time goes on.
