In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy - a loving husband, father and good cop - is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.
Michael Keaton and Gary Oldman both starred in the "Batman" film franchise. Keaton played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) and Oldman played Commissioner Jim Gordon in Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy. The original Robocop, Peter Weller, has also done voice work as Batman, in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (2012) and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013).
Chief Karen Dean:
We have a problem. Alex is breaking protocol.
Liz Kline: What's he doing?
Chief Karen Dean: He's off solving his own murder.
Tom Pope: Oh, that is genius. Why didn't I think of that?
Vallon shuts off the main power to his headquarters/warehouse, though the security monitors remain illuminated without proof or even mention of a gasoline generator or UPS battery backup.
